How to Import Kajabi Courses into Sparkforge
The Sparkforge Kajabi Importer pulls published courses, lessons, videos, and images into your Sparkforge account using a learner login. Assignments, quizzes, and assessments don't transfer.
The Kajabi Importer moves courses from Kajabi into Sparkforge. You provide a learner login on the Kajabi side, and Sparkforge logs in as that learner to scrape published lessons — videos, images, and text — into your Courses library.
Where to find the importer
Go to Memberships > Courses > Products > Create Product > Import.
Before you start
- Avoid custom CSS on the Kajabi side. It can break the import.
- Back up your themes so you can revert if needed.
- Run the import during off-hours to minimize impact on existing learners.
What recent reliability fixes changed
The importer now handles larger Kajabi courses more cleanly:
- It detects and clicks Show More buttons during scraping.
- It recursively pulls hidden lessons inside categories and subcategories.
- It handles large import payloads more reliably so big courses arrive complete.
If your Kajabi course has nested sections or hidden lesson lists, more of that structure now imports correctly.
Important: what doesn't transfer
The importer only pulls published lessons. Assignments, quizzes, and assessments are not included. You'll need to rebuild those inside Sparkforge.
Step 1: Create a learner profile in Kajabi
- In Kajabi, create a new learner contact with access to the courses you want to import.
- Note the email and password you used.
- In Sparkforge, open the Course Importer screen and enter those credentials.
- Add the learner domain — the URL where learners log in to your Kajabi site.
- Click Import.
Step 2: Run the import
- Sparkforge logs in as the learner and starts pulling courses.
- Click Refresh to see accurate progress.
- Click Cancel to stop. You can switch tabs but don't close the window.
- Videos, images, and text content all transfer for courses and lessons.
Preferred themes: Encore Site for Library and Premier Product for Product sections.
Step 3: Verify the import
Imported courses appear under Products. The Import section shows the date and time of the last import.
Troubleshooting
Authentication error
The domain or credentials are wrong. Re-check the learner email, password, and learner domain. The domain must support the /login path — for example, yourdomain.com/login should reach the login page.
Course import failed
Common causes:
- Wrong theme selected.
- Incorrect credentials.
- Domain doesn't support
/login.
Click Retry to resume from where it stopped. If you cancel manually, the next attempt starts fresh from the beginning.
Why are more lessons showing up in newer imports?
Recent improvements detect Show More buttons and nested categories that older imports missed. Re-running an old import may pull in additional published lessons.
