Create a product, set its price (one-time or recurring), and toggle on Membership Offer to link it to a published course offer. Buyers get automatic access after payment — no manual enrollment needed.

This walks through creating a Sparkforge product that sells a membership course. After purchase, buyers automatically get access to the courses bundled in the linked offer — no manual enrollment.

How It Fits Together

A course offer bundles one or more membership courses at a set price. A product handles checkout, pricing, and tax. Linking the product to a published offer is what triggers automatic enrollment after payment.

Before You Start

Create and publish the membership offer first. Only published offers appear in the product’s offer dropdown. Drafts won’t show up.

Step 1: Open Product Creation

Go to Payments > Products from the left menu. Click + Create Product in the top right.

Step 2: Product Information

  • Include in Online Store — toggle on if the product should be publicly purchasable.
  • Title — required. Shows on checkout and listings.
  • Description — rich text, supports formatting and links.
  • Media — image or video. 1024×1024, under 10MB.
  • Product Label — optional badge (“New,” “Top Pick,” etc.).
  • Product Collection — group with related products.

Step 3: Tax Options

  • Product Tax Code — enables automatic tax calculation. Leave blank to use global settings.
  • Include tax in prices — follow global, or override Yes/No per product.
  • Attach Tax Rates — useful for manual taxes or non-US buyers.
  • Statement Descriptor — the name on the buyer’s bank statement.

Step 4: Pricing

  1. Pricing Name — internal label for this tier.
  2. Type — Onetime or Recurring (with billing cycle, trial, setup fee).
  3. Amount — the charge.
  4. Compare-at Price — optional original price for showing a discount.
  5. Currency — e.g., USD.
  6. Track Inventory — if you need to limit quantity sold.

Important: if you set a recurring offer with a fixed number of payments, the subscription cancels after that count. Leave the number of payments blank for an ongoing subscription.

Step 5: Link the Membership Offer

Toggle on Membership Offer. Pick the published offer from the dropdown. Without this, paying customers won’t get access to the course.

How to Create a Course Offer

  1. Go to Memberships, open the dropdown, select Offers.
  2. Click + Create Offer.
  3. Add title, select courses, set price, click Create.
  4. Publish the offer.

Step 6: Variants (Optional)

Use variants to offer tiers of the same product (e.g., Basic, Premium, Pro). Each variant gets its own price, compare-at price, and inventory.

Step 7: SEO

  • SEO Title — short, keyword-aware.
  • SEO Description — brief, keyword-aware.
  • Handle — the URL slug (e.g., /product/my-course).

Step 8: Save

Click Save. New buyers will get automatic course access through the linked offer.
