Import Audio and Video from Media Storage in Sparkforge Courses

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

In a course lesson, click Import from Media Storage, pick the audio or video file, and click Insert Media. The lesson references the existing file instead of uploading a duplicate.

Import from Media Storage attaches existing audio or video files in Sparkforge Media Storage to a course lesson. Instead of uploading the same MP4 or MP3 again, point the lesson at the file already in your library.

Why use Media Storage for course lessons

  • No duplicate uploads — reference an existing file instead of re-uploading.
  • Faster lesson building — add media in a few clicks.
  • Centralized library — keep course media in one place for easier reuse and updates.
  • Cleaner versioning — fewer duplicate copies floating around.

Import media into a lesson

  1. Go to Memberships > Courses > Products.
  2. Open the course you want to edit.
  3. Navigate to the lesson, then create a new lesson or edit an existing one.
  4. Click Import from Media Storage.
  5. Click Click to select from media storage to browse the library.
  6. Pick the audio or video file and click Insert Media.
  7. Save the lesson. Publish the course step when you're ready for learners to see it.
