How to Use Table Charts in Sparkforge Dashboard Widgets

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Edit any Sparkforge dashboard, add a widget, switch the chart type to Table, and pick the columns plus the sort column to control how the data displays.

Table charts give you a row-and-column view of dashboard data — useful when a bar or line chart hides the detail you need. Setup takes four steps.

Step 1: Add a Widget

Open the dashboard, click the edit (pencil) icon, then Add Widget.

Step 2: Choose Table Chart

Scroll to the widget you want and switch its chart type to Table.

Step 3: Configure the Widget

Click Select Columns to choose which columns appear. Open Advanced Settings to pick the column the table sorts by.

Email widgets: Source Action Name

For Email widget table charts, the Source Action Name column shows what triggered each email. When the email came from a workflow, it displays the workflow step name — handy for tracing dashboard numbers back to a specific automation step.

Step 4: Save

Click Save to lock the widget onto your dashboard.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I switch a widget to a table chart?
Edit the dashboard, add or open a widget, then change the chart type to Table. Most widget types support the table view.
Can I control the column order in a table chart?
Use Select Columns to pick which columns display, and Advanced Settings to set the sort column. Column display order follows your selection.
What does Source Action Name show in Email widgets?
It identifies what triggered each email. If the email came from a workflow, the column shows the specific workflow step name for traceability.
