Google Analytics Widgets in Sparkforge Dashboards

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Connect a GA4 property to Sparkforge once, then drop pre-built widgets like Total Users, Sessions by Channel, and Top Pages onto dashboards or scheduled custom reports. Mix GA data with CRM, ad, and revenue widgets in one workspace.

Google Analytics widgets surface GA4 metrics directly inside Sparkforge dashboards and custom reports. After a one-time OAuth connection, drop widgets like Total Users, Engagement Rate, or Sessions by Channel onto a dashboard and pair them with CRM, ad, and pipeline data.

Before you start

  • Connect a GA4 property and data stream in Settings → Integrations → Google Analytics.
  • You need Edit dashboard permission to add widgets, or View to consume.
  • Verify the Google account has at least view access to the GA4 property and data stream.

Dashboards vs custom reports

  • Dashboards — always-on visuals for daily monitoring and comparisons.
  • Custom Reports — scheduled email delivery for client or executive hand-offs.

Both surfaces use the same widget library, so you can build once and reuse layouts.

Add widgets to a dashboard

  1. In the sub-account, open Dashboard and pick the dashboard you want to edit.
  2. Click Edit Dashboard → Add Widget.
  3. Pick a chart type (Numeric, Donut, Line, Bar, or Table), then scroll to Google Analytics and select the metric or Top widget.
  4. Apply filters — channel, source/medium, page, date range — and tweak theme colors.
  5. Click Save. The widget begins pulling GA4 data.

Add widgets to a custom report

  1. Go to Reporting → Custom Reports and open or create a report.
  2. Start blank, use a template, or import an existing dashboard layout.
  3. Click Add Widget / Element, locate Google Analytics, and drag widgets in.
  4. Configure each widget: chart type, filters, theme. Save.
  5. Click Send or Schedule to set up email delivery.

Filtering and customization

  • Date range: the dashboard or report picker scopes every widget on the page.
  • Chart types: Numeric, Donut, Line, Bar, or Table where the widget supports it.
  • Filters: narrow by Source/Medium (e.g., google/organic), include or exclude channels, pages, or events.
  • Layout: drag to reposition, resize for readability, duplicate widgets to compare with different filters.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which version of Google Analytics is supported?
GA4 only. Universal Analytics (UA) is not supported.
Why does a widget show 'No Data'?
Confirm the GA4 property is connected, widen the date range, and review filters — a restrictive Source/Medium or a page path with no traffic will return empty.
Can I duplicate and tweak a widget?
Yes. Duplicate creates a copy you can re-filter or change chart type on, useful for side-by-side comparison.
Do dashboards and custom reports use different GA data?
No. Both pull from the same connected GA4 property. Pick the surface based on monitoring vs scheduled delivery needs.
Can I mix GA widgets with ads and CRM widgets?
Yes. Combine GA4 widgets with Meta Ads, Google Ads, and CRM widgets for a complete acquisition-to-revenue view.
