Dashboard Widgets in Sparkforge: FAQs and Permissions
Custom dashboard widgets are available on higher Sparkforge plans, with role-based view and edit access. Filter conditions and date-property settings control what each user sees.
Which plans include custom dashboard widgets
Multiple custom dashboards, widgets, and custom reports are available on higher-tier plans. If you don't see the custom widget options, your current plan doesn't include them.
Why do widgets show a different time and date format
Dashboard widgets currently use a system timezone and date format for consistency across reports. Per-user format overrides are on the roadmap but not yet available.
Who can edit widgets
Edit and view access depends on role:
| Role | Access |
|---|---|
| Agency Admin | Full edit and view |
| Agency User | Full edit and view |
| Account Admin | View only |
| Account User | View only, scoped to user permissions |
How dashboard permissions work
To adjust per-user dashboard permissions:
- Go to Settings > My Staff.
- Click Edit next to the user.
- Adjust the permissions in the User Permissions section.
Available dashboard permissions:
| Permission | What it controls |
|---|---|
| Dashboard Stats | Access to the entire dashboard. View-only for Account Admin and Account users. |
| Contacts | Access to contacts and contact-related widgets. |
| Opportunity | Access to opportunities and opportunity widgets. |
| Appointment | Access to appointments and appointment widgets. |
| Lead value | Access to monetary value widgets. |
| Only Assigned data | Hides custom widget data when enabled. |
Show each team member only their own data
Add a condition to each widget under the Conditions tab: USER > LOGGED IN USER. Each team member then sees only the records assigned to them.
Why opportunity counts changed on the new dashboard
The new dashboard uses Last Status Change as the default date property instead of the older Created date. Updates to older opportunities now contribute to current counts, which can shift totals.
To customize the date property:
- General widgets: Click the filter icon and switch the date property. The change applies across general filters.
- Custom widgets (higher-tier plans): Set the date property directly in the widget settings.
Why Session Source or Medium isn't selectable in Group By
This happens when the widget uses multiple filter groups. To group by Session Source or Session Medium, use only one filter group, and that group must include the Attribution Type filter (First Touch or Last Touch). Adding more filter groups disables attribution-based grouping.
