How to Sync Outlook Calendar with Sparkforge

Connect Outlook in Settings > Profile, then configure Primary Calendar for two-way sync or Check for Conflicts for read-only sync. Works with Office 365 and Outlook.com on Group calendars.

The Outlook integration syncs appointments between Sparkforge and your Outlook calendar in real time. Bookings made in Sparkforge appear in Outlook, and existing Outlook events block out availability so you do not get double-booked.

What Outlook Sync Does

  • Reads existing Outlook events into Sparkforge to prevent conflicts.
  • Writes new Sparkforge appointments to Outlook automatically.
  • Keeps both platforms in sync without manual entry.

Supported Accounts

  • Office 365, Outlook.com, live.com, and Hotmail
  • Group calendars only — Round Robin, Collective, and Service calendars
  • One Outlook account per user per sub-account

Outlook Desktop on-premise Exchange is not supported. If your events are not visible at outlook.live.com, the integration cannot sync them.

Connect Outlook

  1. Go to Settings > Profile.
  2. Find the Integrations section.
  3. Click Connect next to Outlook.
  4. Sign in and approve calendar access.

The user signing in must be a member of the sub-account where the integration is being added.

Configure the Calendar

In Settings > Profile, scroll to Calendar Configuration. Two options control how data flows.

Primary Calendar (Two-Way Sync)

Reads events from Outlook and writes Sparkforge appointments to the selected Outlook calendar. Click Edit under Primary Calendar and pick the Outlook calendar you want.

If sync stops working, edit the primary calendar, choose Do not sync events, save, then reselect the same calendar.

Check for Conflicts (Read-Only)

Reads Outlook events to block availability but does not write back. Useful if you want Sparkforge to know about other commitments without modifying that calendar.

Common Limits

  • One Outlook account per user, per sub-account.
  • Cannot connect the same Outlook account to two different Sparkforge users.
  • Event Calendars do not support Outlook integration.
  • You can write appointments to Outlook OR Google, not both simultaneously.
