How to Set Up a Personal Booking Calendar in Sparkforge
The Personal Booking Calendar in Sparkforge is built for 1:1 bookings. It shares the Round Robin feature set but is limited to a single team member, which is the right fit when one person owns the calendar.
The Personal Booking Calendar is a 1:1 calendar type in Sparkforge. It removes the confusion of repurposing Round Robin for solo scheduling and avoids the limits of Event Calendars (which are for physical events and do not support Zoom or Google Meet).
When to use Personal Booking
- You take individual 1:1 meetings — discovery, consults, intros
- You want Zoom or Google Meet support out of the box
- You do not need to rotate across multiple team members
If you need round-robin distribution across a team, use the Round Robin calendar instead.
Create a Personal Booking Calendar
- Open Calendar Settings.
- Click Create Calendar.
- Choose Personal Booking.
- Configure availability, meeting length, video conferencing, and notifications.
The user who creates the calendar is added as the team member by default. You can change that to any other user.
Personal Booking vs Round Robin
Personal Booking shares every feature with Round Robin except for one difference: it is limited to a single team member. Round Robin distributes bookings across multiple team members; Personal Booking always assigns to one person.
Tip on calendar types
The create/edit screen shows a setup helper labeled This calendar type has key differences. Review it before you commit, especially if you were considering an Event Calendar.
