Filter Contacts by Email Statistics in Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Email Analytics in Sparkforge lets you filter contacts by real engagement signals — Opened, Clicked, Bounced, Complained, Failed — across a date range and source (Campaign, Workflow, or Bulk). Click any metric to see the matching contacts.

Email Analytics in Sparkforge filters contacts by actual email engagement — Opened, Clicked, Bounced, Complained, Failed, Unsubscribed — instead of forcing you to wade through campaign-level summaries. Use it to build re-engagement segments, clean your list, and find your high-intent contacts.

Availability

Contact-level Email Analytics filtering works only on Sparkforge Email sub-accounts. Non-Sparkforge email providers don’t support this filter.

Why Use It

  • Targeted re-engagement — build segments from Opened/Clicked to drive follow-ups.
  • List hygiene — isolate Bounced, Complained, or Failed contacts to protect deliverability.
  • Date-range control — see performance for a specific campaign window.
  • Source isolation — split results by Bulk, Campaign, or Workflow to know what’s working.

How to Filter

  1. Sign in to the sub-account.
  2. Open Settings > Email Services > Email Analytics.
  3. Review the metric tiles at the top: Sent, Delivered, Opened, Clicked, Complained, Bounced, Unsubscribed, Failed.
  4. Set a Date Range for the analysis window.
  5. Click Filters, pick Email Source, then choose Campaign, Workflow, or Bulk Request.
  6. Pick a Source Name — the specific campaign, workflow, or bulk send. This is required. Without it, the filter returns no results.
  7. Click any metric tile (e.g., Delivered) to open the matching contact list.
  8. Use pagination (20/50/100 per page), adjust the date range, and click Refresh when filters change.
  9. Click any contact to open the full contact record for follow-up.

Source Types Explained

  • Campaign — marketing emails sent from the Campaigns module.
  • Workflow — automated emails triggered inside a workflow.
  • Bulk Request — one-off bulk sends to a contact list.

Metric Definitions

  • Bounced — rejected by the recipient’s mail server.
  • Failed — send error before any delivery attempt.
  • Complained — recipient marked the email as spam.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I see no results after picking a Campaign?
You must also pick a Source Name (the specific campaign) and confirm the campaign actually sent. Without a Source Name, the filter returns nothing.
Can I filter multiple campaigns at once?
You can pick all sources or a specific source type. Multiple source names within a type are also supported.
Do Opens and Clicks need tracking enabled?
Yes. If link tracking or open tracking is disabled, those metrics will be incomplete or missing.
What’s the difference between Bounced, Failed, and Complained?
Bounced means rejected by the recipient’s server. Failed means an error before any delivery attempt. Complained means the recipient marked the email as spam.
Can non-Sparkforge email providers use contact-level analytics filtering?
No. Contact-level Email Analytics filtering is Sparkforge Email sub-accounts only.
