How to Edit Email Format for Mobile View in Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Sparkforge email templates support mobile-specific font size, button style, padding, and alignment. Open mobile settings on each element and toggle the override to apply it on phones.

Mobile mailboxes account for the majority of opens. The Sparkforge drag-and-drop email builder lets you adjust formatting separately for mobile so a layout that reads well on desktop also reads well on a phone screen.

What can be customized for mobile

  • Font size and line height
  • Button style and width
  • Padding and margins
  • Element alignment

For font size and button style, the mobile toggle on the element must be enabled before the override applies on phones.

Apply mobile-specific formatting

  1. Open the email template or campaign in the drag-and-drop editor.
  2. Hover an element. The mobile/desktop hide and edit controls appear.
  3. Edit the element and switch to the mobile settings tab.
  4. Adjust font size, button style, padding, or alignment as needed and enable the toggle for the override.
  5. Save the template.

Mobile-only settings rely on email client support for media queries. Most major clients honor them, but a few enterprise clients ignore them and fall back to the desktop styles.

Preview on mobile

After saving, click the three dots on the template and choose the mobile preview. Send a test email to a real device for a final check before scheduling the campaign — preview tools show layout but not actual rendering quirks per client.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will mobile overrides work in every email client?
Most major clients support media queries, including Gmail, Apple Mail, and modern Outlook. Some legacy or enterprise clients ignore the overrides and show the desktop layout.
Why isn't my mobile font size applying?
The mobile toggle on the element must be enabled. Open the element, switch to the mobile tab, and turn the toggle on before adjusting the size.
Can I hide an element only on mobile?
Yes. Hover the element to expose the show/hide controls for mobile and desktop, then hide it on the device you want to exclude.
Should I always send a test email to a real phone?
Yes. The in-app mobile preview shows layout, but actual rendering varies by client and operating system. A real-device test catches issues the preview will not.
