Add Titles, Text, and Images to Sparkforge Dashboards
Sparkforge dashboards now support three layout elements: titles, text boxes, and images. Add them from Edit mode under the Elements tab to organize widgets and post notes for your team.
Custom dashboards in Sparkforge now support three non-widget elements: titles, text boxes, and images. Use them to label sections, leave instructions, and embed visuals.
What each element does
- Title: a heading you can drop above a row of widgets to group them by theme.
- Text box: rich text for instructions, to-do lists, or notes about how to read a widget.
- Image: upload a logo, infographic, or chart to give the dashboard visual context.
How to add an element
- Open the dashboard and click Edit.
- Click Add widget.
- Switch to the Elements tab.
- Pick Title, Text box, or Image.
- Configure the element (text, image upload, sizing) and save.
Why it matters
Most dashboards turn into a wall of widgets. Titles and text boxes give the dashboard structure so a new team member can scan it without a walkthrough. Images let you brand internal dashboards or annotate metrics with reference visuals.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I edit a dashboard element after I add it?
Yes. Re-enter Edit mode, click the element, change the text or image, and save.
Are these elements widgets?
No. They live on the Elements tab inside Add widget, but they don't pull data. They're layout components.
What image formats are supported?
Standard web formats (PNG, JPG, GIF). Upload from your computer in the image element configuration.
Can different team members see different text boxes?
Text box content is part of the dashboard itself. Anyone with access to that dashboard sees the same content.
