How to Create Facebook Ad Campaigns in Sparkforge Ad Manager

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Create Meta campaigns directly inside Sparkforge Ad Manager. Pick an objective, configure up to 10 ad sets and 10 ads each, set audience and budget, and publish to your connected Meta account.

Sparkforge Ad Manager builds Meta campaigns inside your CRM and publishes them to your connected Facebook ad account. The interface mirrors Meta's structure (Campaign → Ad Set → Ad) and applies the same review policies.

Before you start

  • Connect Facebook to Ad Manager. The integration must be active before you can launch a campaign.
  • Set the reselling pricing for Ad Manager from the Agency view if you are an agency.
  • Confirm Ad Manager is toggled on for the sub-account (it is on by default).
  • Grant individual users Ad Manager permission under Staff → Permissions.
  • Connect your Meta ad account and the Facebook pages you plan to advertise from.

Meta campaign structure

Every Meta campaign in Ad Manager has three levels: Campaign → Ad Set → Ad. Creating a new campaign automatically creates one ad set and one ad to start.

Limits per campaign:

  • Up to 10 ad sets per campaign.
  • Up to 10 ads per ad set.

Step 1: Create the campaign

  1. Go to Marketing → Ad Manager.
  2. Click + Create Campaign.
  3. Select Facebook as the platform.
  4. Choose Start from Scratch or pick an Ad Manager template.
  5. Click Next.

Step 2: Pick objective and Special Ad Category

Objective: the goal you want the campaign to drive. Lead Generation runs through the Facebook Form integration, so you can use an existing form or create a new one inside Ad Manager.

Special Ad Category: if your ad falls into housing, employment, credit, social issues, elections, or politics, pick the matching category. Otherwise pick Not Applicable.

Special Ad Category restrictions

  • Lookalike audiences from inside Facebook are not allowed. Build the audience outside Facebook and upload it as a custom audience.
  • Saved audiences are not allowed.
  • Zip and postal code targeting is blocked. Specific locations require a 15-mile or 25 km minimum radius.
  • Most demographic, behavior, and interest targeting is unavailable.
  • Age defaults to 18-65+ and cannot be edited.
  • Gender defaults to all genders and cannot be edited.

Step 3: Configure the ad set

Up to 10 ad sets per campaign.

  • Name: give the ad set a clear label so reporting stays readable.
  • Facebook Page: the page that represents your business in the ad.
  • Instagram Account: link an Instagram account, otherwise the ad runs under the Facebook page identity.
  • Placements: Automatic uses Meta's optimization across all defaults. Toggle on Manual to pick placements yourself for brand safety.
  • Budget: daily or lifetime, charged to the card on the Meta ad account. Pause and edit a campaign to change a lifetime budget.
  • Schedule: set start and end dates and times for lifetime budgets. The currency is whatever is on the connected ad account; the timezone is your current timezone.
  • Audience controls: include or exclude geographic locations, then narrow with optional intended-audience settings.

Choosing a broad geographic area, like a country instead of several cities, often improves results because Meta has more delivery flexibility.

Step 4: Configure the ads

Up to 10 ads per ad set.

  • Name: label each ad clearly for reporting.
  • Destination: Website URL, Facebook Lead Form, or Conversation Form depending on the campaign objective.
  • Primary text: optional, ~125 characters recommended.
  • Headline: required, ~40 characters recommended.
  • Description: optional, ~30 characters recommended.
  • Call-to-action button: Learn More, Buy Now, Contact Us, Get Offer (Lead Gen), and others.
  • Media: images up to 8 MB, videos up to 1 GB, single or carousel format.
  • Multi-advertiser ads: on by default. Turn off if you need clean brand separation.

About multi-advertiser ads

When a shopper interacts with one ad, Meta may show a carousel of related products from other advertisers below it. The benefit is broader reach and cross-promotion. The cost is shared real estate, which is a problem if your messaging needs to stand alone.

Step 5: Review and publish

Before publishing, walk through every level of the hierarchy and confirm names, audiences, budgets, creatives, and destinations are correct. Ad Manager publishes the campaign to Meta, which then runs it through the standard ad review process.

Frequently Asked Questions

It is a Meta classification for ads in housing, employment, credit, social issues, elections, or politics. It restricts targeting options like lookalikes, zip codes, age, and gender.
