How to Set Up Form Submission Email Notifications in Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Open the form in Form Builder, click the bell icon, and toggle on either the internal notification, the auto-responder to the submitter, or both. The same setup works for surveys.

Sparkforge forms can email you when someone submits, send an auto-responder to the submitter, or both. The same options apply to surveys.

Activate email notifications

  1. Open Sub-account → Sites → Forms → Form Builder. Add a new form or open an existing one.
  2. In the upper-left corner, click the bell icon.
  3. Toggle on either or both options:
    • Email notification — sends you an email when the form is submitted.
    • Auto-Responder — sends an automated message to the person who submitted the form.
  4. For the auto-responder, fill in:
    • Subject — the subject line of the auto-reply.
    • Reply-to email — where replies to the auto-reply land.
    • Sender name — defaults to the location name if blank, or set a custom sender.
  • Click Save, then Save again in the upper right to commit changes to the form.
  • Test before you publish

Click Preview in the upper right and submit the form yourself. Confirm both the internal email and the auto-responder land where they should before going live.

The same notifications panel works the same way for Surveys.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Can I send an auto-responder and an internal notification from the same form?
Yes. The bell icon panel has separate toggles for each — turn on whichever combination you need.
What happens to the Sender name if I leave it blank?
It defaults to the location name on the sub-account. Set a custom sender name if you want the email to come from a person or brand.
Do these settings work for Surveys too?
Yes. The same notifications panel and toggles are available in the Survey Builder.
How do I test the email before going live?
Click Preview at the upper right, submit the form, and confirm both emails land. Adjust the subject, reply-to, or sender name if anything's off.
