How to Copy a Workflow to Another Sub-Account in Sparkforge
Agency Admins can copy a workflow directly from one sub-account to another without packaging a snapshot. The copy lands in the destination as a draft, with most contact, opportunity, and template assets carried over.
Copying a workflow between sub-accounts no longer requires building a full snapshot. Agency Admins can push a workflow straight into another sub-account they have access to.
Who can copy workflows
Only Agency Admins see the copy option. The destination list shows only sub-accounts the logged-in user can access.
How to copy a workflow
- Open the workflow you want to copy.
- Choose Copy to Sub-Account.
- Select the destination sub-account.
- Submit. The workflow lands in the destination in draft state.
Copy history and debugging
Each copy is logged with current status. Click any history entry to see detailed info — useful for debugging when a copy fails.
What gets copied
The following assets travel with the workflow:
- Contact tags
- Contact custom fields (only when the field type matches)
- Sub-account custom values
- Opportunity custom fields
- Opportunity pipelines and stages
- Email and SMS text templates
- Email builder templates (coming soon)
Everything else is stripped before the copy lands. Any references to assets not in the list above are cleared, so plan to rebuild or remap them in the destination sub-account.
After the copy
The workflow stays in draft until you activate it. Open it in the destination sub-account, fix any cleared references, test, then publish.
