Global Settings for Services Booking Pages in Sparkforge
Global Settings in Services applies booking page, payment, scheduling, and notification defaults across every service at once. Edit individual services only when you need to override the defaults.
Global Settings in Services centralizes the configuration that drives every booking page on your account. Set the rules once and they apply across every service — the booking widget, payments, scheduling windows, notifications, and third-party calendar behavior.
What's inside Global Settings
Global Settings is split into five sections:
- In-App Settings: options that control the in-app calendar view and resource handling.
- Booking Page: layout, branding, forms, and confirmation page for the customer-facing widget.
- Payment Settings: currencies, payment modes, and visibility rules.
- Service Settings: scheduling intervals, booking windows, and cancellation rules.
- Notification Settings: who gets notified, when, and over which channel.
Why use Global Settings
- One source of truth: change a default once instead of editing every service.
- Consistent customer experience: the booking page looks and behaves the same across services.
- Faster scaling: new services inherit your existing rules automatically.
In-App Settings
- View Options: set the calendar week to start Monday, Saturday, or Sunday.
- Enable Multiple Locations: turn on if you operate from more than one address. Customers pick a location during booking.
- Enable Resources: turn on if you book physical resources (rooms, chairs, equipment). Adds a Resources tab and prevents double-booking.
- Enable Add-ons: turn on to offer upsells at booking. Adds an Add-ons tab.
Booking Page Settings
Customize Booking Page
- Company Name & Logo: displayed at the top of the booking page.
- Account Slug: the unique base path for every service URL.
- Booking Page Order: service-first or location-first flow when multiple locations are enabled.
- Booking Page Layout: card view, list view, or let customers choose.
- Filter & Sort Placement: top horizontal or left vertical.
- Theme: light or dark.
- Language: the language the booking page renders in.
- Primary & Background Colors: brand colors for buttons, date pickers, and page background.
- Button Labels: rename the service select button (e.g.
BOOK) and the final confirm button (e.g.Schedule Appointment). - Insert Custom Code: paste CSS to style anything the toggles don't cover.
- Preview: see your changes before publishing.
Forms
- Select Form: use the default form (name, phone, email) or a custom form built in Sites > Forms.
- Pre-populate Fields (Sticky Contacts): uses cookies to fill known fields for return visitors. Skip this if multiple customers share a browser.
- Consent Checkbox: add a customizable consent line to the default form.
Confirmation Page
Show a custom message after booking, or redirect to a thank-you page you build separately.
Payment Settings
- Test Mode vs. Live Mode: simulate the checkout flow before accepting real payments.
- Currency: applies to every service. Update service prices when you switch currency.
- Booking Payment Options: control what payment choices customers see.
- Hide Payment Amount: hides the total when the payment method is Pay in Person or Card on File.
Service Settings
- Service Interval: the spacing between bookable slots. A 30-minute interval shows 9:00, 9:30, 10:00.
- Minimum Scheduling Notice: how close to the appointment time customers can still book. Set to 2 hours and an 8 AM customer can't take a 9 AM slot.
- Date Range: how far in advance customers can book.
- Cancellation & Reschedule: allow each, and set how long before the appointment the link expires.
- Auto Confirm New Appointments: on by default. Turn off if you want to manually confirm every booking.
Contact Assignment
- Assign contacts to staff on booking: reassigns the contact's owner to whichever staff member they booked with.
- Skip if already assigned: only updates contacts that don't already have an owner.
Other
- Facebook Pixel ID: tracks booking events for ad attribution.
- Lock Timezone: forces the booking page to display in your timezone, useful for in-person services.
Notifications
Six notification types cover every booking event:
- Appointment Booked (Unconfirmed): sent the moment a booking lands as unconfirmed.
- Appointment Booked (Confirmed): sent on initial confirmed booking or when status flips to confirmed.
- Cancellation: sent on cancel, no-show, or invalid status.
- Reschedule: sent when date or time changes.
- Reminder: timed before the appointment (e.g. 1 day, 1 hour).
- Follow-Up: timed after the appointment.
Each can deliver via Email, In-App, or SMS. Recipients are the contact, the assigned user, or both.
Third-Party Calendar Settings
- Calendar Sync & Invites: auto-add appointments to attendees' Google or Outlook calendars and send standard invite emails on book, reschedule, or cancel.
- Appointment Notes: custom text that appears inside the third-party calendar invite — meeting links, prep instructions, anything attendees should see at a glance.
