Footer Element in the Sparkforge Email Builder

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

The Footer Element adds a compliant, branded footer to Sparkforge emails — contact details, unsubscribe links, and styling that matches the rest of the template.

The Footer Element is a prebuilt section that sits at the bottom of any Sparkforge email. It carries the information that keeps you compliant and credible — business name, address, unsubscribe link, and legal text — with full control over color, font, and spacing.

What goes in the footer

  • Business name and physical mailing address.
  • Unsubscribe link (required for compliant marketing email).
  • Privacy policy or terms link.
  • Social media links or icons.
  • Copyright notice.

Note: Including a working unsubscribe link and a real mailing address is required by CAN-SPAM, CASL, and most other email regulations.

How to add and configure the Footer Element

  1. Go to Marketing → Emails → Templates in your sub-account.
  2. Open an existing template or click + New to create one.
  3. Click Add Elements (+) in the Email Builder sidebar.
  4. Drag the Footer Element to the bottom of your layout.
  5. Click the element to open Edit:
    • Edit Text Content — business name, address, legal text.
    • Add Links — unsubscribe, privacy policy, social profiles.
    • Customize Colors — background and text color.
    • Adjust Spacing — padding and margins.
  6. Open the Visibility tab to set device-based visibility or conditional sending.
  7. Preview in desktop and mobile before sending.

Match the footer to your brand

Use the background color, font, and padding settings to align the footer with the rest of the template. A consistent footer style across every campaign reinforces trust and keeps recipients oriented.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I include in an email footer?
At minimum, your business name, mailing address, an unsubscribe link, and a copyright notice. Add privacy policy and social links where relevant.
Why is an unsubscribe link required?
Email regulations like CAN-SPAM and CASL require a clear opt-out mechanism in every commercial email. Missing it can hurt deliverability and trigger fines.
How do I match the footer to my email theme?
Use the background color, font, and padding settings in the Edit panel so the footer matches the rest of your template.
Can I remove or replace the footer?
Yes. Click the Footer Element and use the trash icon to remove it, or drop in a new Footer Element to replace it.
Should every email have the same footer?
Consistency builds trust. Use the same footer block across templates for transactional and marketing emails, even if the body content changes.
