FAQ Element in the Sparkforge Email Builder

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

The FAQ Element adds collapsible question-and-answer sections to Sparkforge emails so recipients find answers fast and your layout stays clean and scannable.

The FAQ Element is a drag-and-drop block that adds a structured Q&A section to any Sparkforge email. Each FAQ item has a question title and a collapsible answer, so recipients scan for what they need without scrolling through long copy.

When to use the FAQ Element

  • Newsletters that bundle multiple updates.
  • Onboarding sequences that anticipate common questions.
  • Product update emails with feature explanations.
  • Promotional emails answering eligibility or terms questions.

Note: Interactivity depends on the email client. Some Outlook versions disable the collapse animation, in which case the answers display expanded by default.

How to add and configure the FAQ Element

  1. Go to Marketing → Emails → Templates in your sub-account.
  2. Open an existing template or click + New to create one.
  3. Click Add Elements (+) in the Email Builder sidebar.
  4. Drag the FAQ Element into your layout.
  5. Click the element to open Edit:
    • Add Questions and Answers — type or paste each pair.
    • Edit Formatting — bold, color, size on questions.
    • Adjust Layout — padding and spacing between items.
  6. Open the Visibility tab for device-based visibility or conditional sending.
  7. Preview in desktop and mobile to confirm the layout holds.

Writing FAQ entries that work

Keep questions short and phrased the way a customer would ask them. Answers run one to three sentences. Aim for three to six entries per email; longer lists get skimmed and skipped.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many FAQ entries should I add per email?
Three to six is the sweet spot. Longer lists get skimmed and dilute the message. Split big lists across multiple emails or link to a full FAQ page.
Can I style each question differently?
Yes. Format individual questions and answers with the inline editor — font size, weight, and color — so important entries stand out.
Will the FAQ Element adapt to mobile?
Yes. It is fully responsive and adjusts text wrapping, spacing, and padding for smaller screens.
Can I reuse an FAQ block across templates?
Yes. Duplicate the block or save the section so the same FAQ runs consistently across campaigns.
Why are my FAQ entries showing expanded in Outlook?
Some Outlook versions disable interactive collapse for security. The element falls back to expanded answers so the content is still readable.
