Export Subscriptions to CSV in Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

From Payments > Subscriptions, apply any filters and click Download to email yourself a secure CSV link. Each subscription can produce multiple rows (one per line item or tax), so group by Subscription id when totaling.

The Subscriptions CSV export pulls billing records from Payments > Subscriptions for compliance, revenue analytics, retention monitoring, and audit-ready reporting.

What you can export

  • Every subscription in the sub-account
  • Only the subscriptions matching your active filters or search

Sparkforge emails a secure download link that expires after 7 days. If the link expires, run the export again.

How to export

  1. Open Payments > Subscriptions.
  2. Optional: filter by status (Active, Cancelled, Past Due), product type, customer, provider, currency, or date range.
  3. Click Download.
  4. Open the email link to download the CSV.

How the data is structured

A single subscription can include multiple products and taxes, so the export writes one row per line item and per tax entry. This keeps product-level and tax-level reporting accurate.

Tip: when totaling in Sheets or Excel, group by Subscription id to avoid double-counting.

0 vs blank

  • 0 means the field applies and the value is genuinely zero.
  • Blank means the field does not apply (for example, trial fields when there is no trial).

Column ordering is stable across exports so pivots, imports, and BI pipelines keep working.

Common gotchas

  • Setup fees are not included in Sub total or in tax columns.
  • Multi-row output is intentional. Pivot on Subscription id for one-per-subscription totals.
  • If the email link has expired, just re-export.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does one subscription show up as multiple rows?
Each line item and tax entry gets its own row so product-level and tax-level reporting stays accurate. Group by Subscription id to count each subscription once.
How long is the download link good for?
The secure link in the export email expires after 7 days. If it lapses, run the export again from Payments > Subscriptions.
What is the difference between 0 and blank in the CSV?
0 means the field applies and the value is truly zero. Blank means the field does not apply to that subscription, like trial fields when no trial was offered.
Are setup fees included in the totals?
No. Setup fees are excluded from Sub total, the tax columns, and Total amount. Track setup fees from the original transaction record.
Can I export only certain subscriptions?
Yes. Apply any combination of status, product, customer, provider, currency, or date filters before clicking Download and the CSV will only include the matching rows.
