Copyright and Compliance
You are responsible for confirming you have the right to embed any third-party content. Before embedding:
- Confirm the content is public or you have permission to share it.
- Verify you're complying with the source platform's terms of service.
- Don't embed private, unlicensed, or non-shareable content.
Best Practices
- Always preview the post to confirm embeds load correctly.
- Use official embed codes — avoid shortened or redirected URLs.
- Train your team on content licensing to avoid takedowns.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to upload the video file?
No. Embedding pulls the media from the source platform — no uploads, no storage on your account.
Can I embed from a platform not on the supported list?
If the platform provides a standard iframe embed code, it should render. Officially supported platforms include YouTube, Vimeo, Loom, SoundCloud, Wistia, Spotify, and Mixcloud.
Does the embed automatically resize?
Yes. Width and height auto-adjust to fit the post layout. You don't need to edit the iframe attributes.
What happens if the source video is taken down?
The embed will show whatever the source platform displays for removed content. Update or remove the embed in your post.
Are embeds counted against my storage?
No. Embedded media is hosted by the source platform, not Sparkforge.
