How to Use Email Validation in Sparkforge Forms and Surveys

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Toggle email validation on the email field in any form or survey. Submitters click Verify Email, get a code, and confirm — only validated entries are flagged as verified in your data.

Email validation puts a Verify Email button next to the email field on any Sparkforge form or survey. Submitters confirm their address with a one-time code before submission, so the emails you collect are real and reachable.

How validation works

  1. Email entry — the user types an email address in the form field.
  2. Verify button appears — once the format is valid, the Verify Email button shows up next to the field.
  3. Code sent — clicking the button emails a unique code to the address.
  4. Code confirmation — the user enters the code back into the form.
  5. Marked verified — once confirmed, the submission is flagged as verified in your data.

Enable email validation on a form

  1. Open the form or survey in the builder.
  2. Select the email field.
  3. Toggle the Email validation option in field settings.
  4. Save and publish.

The Verify Email button will now appear next to email inputs on the live form.

Why use it

  • Filters out typo'd or fake email addresses at submission time
  • Keeps your contact database cleaner and your sender reputation healthier
  • Verified-email contacts are higher-intent leads

Tracking verified contacts

Each form/survey submission carries a Verified Email field set to Yes once validated. Filter or segment on this field to focus campaigns on confirmed addresses.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if a submitter doesn't validate their email?
The submission may not be accepted, depending on how strict you set the form to be. This guarantees your captured emails are reachable.
Can I customize the validation email?
Not yet. The validation email is standardized for now. Customization is on the roadmap.
How do I see which contacts have validated emails?
Sparkforge adds a Verified Email field to submissions. Yes means the address was confirmed via code.
Does email validation cost extra?
It's included with forms and surveys on standard plans. Usage-based email costs apply to the validation email itself, the same as any other system email.
Will the Verify button show before the user finishes typing?
No. It only appears after the entered text is a well-formatted email address.
