Create & Update Multiple Google Sheets Rows in Sparkforge Workflows
The Create & Update Multiple Rows action lets one Sparkforge workflow write or modify several Google Sheets rows at once. It's a premium action billed per execution, and works against any Google Sheet your connected account can edit.
If you've been writing one row at a time from workflows, the Create & Update Multiple Rows action is the upgrade. One workflow run can log a batch of rows or refresh a range of existing rows in your Google Sheet — without daisy-chaining single-row actions.
Note: this is a premium workflow action. Each execution incurs an additional charge.
What This Action Does
Sparkforge can now create or update more than one row in a single workflow pass. Use it for grouped or repeated data: bulk logs, structured records, or refreshing several values inside a defined range.
Why use it
- Faster logging: one action instead of stacked single-row steps.
- Better organization: related rows land together.
- Less manual cleanup: fewer copy-paste edits after the workflow runs.
- Direct mapping: spreadsheet columns map to workflow data, reducing errors.
- Range updates: refresh several rows in one call.
Prerequisites
- Google account connected in Sparkforge.
- Spreadsheet stored in the correct Google Drive (personal or shared).
- Clear column headers in row 1 of the worksheet.
- Confirm the worksheet (tab) name before selecting it.
- Premium workflow actions enabled on the sub-account if your plan requires it.
- Click Refresh Headers any time you add, rename, or reorder columns.
Create Multiple Rows
Use this when the workflow needs to add new rows — repeated records, grouped logs, or multiple values from one event.
- Go to Automations > Workflows.
- Open or create the workflow.
- Add a trigger (Contact Created, Form Submitted, etc.).
- Click + and search for Google Sheets.
- Connect the location's Google Account.
- From the Action dropdown, choose Create Multiple Spreadsheet Row(s).
- Pick the connected Google account.
- Pick the Drive that holds the spreadsheet.
- Pick the spreadsheet, then the worksheet tab.
- Click Refresh Headers to pull the latest column names.
- Set the Start Column and End Column. Sparkforge treats row 1 as the header row.
- Map workflow data to columns, then Save Action.
Best fits
- Logging multiple workflow outputs into one spreadsheet.
- Recording grouped entries from a single automation run.
- Persisting multiple related data points for tracking or reporting.
Update Multiple Rows
Use this when rows already exist and you need to modify values inside a defined range — without creating duplicates.
- Go to Automations > Workflows.
- Open or create the workflow.
- Add a trigger.
- Click + and search for Google Sheets.
- Connect the location's Google Account.

- Pick the Google account, Drive, spreadsheet, and worksheet.
- Enter the row number to start updating from.
- Set the Start Column and End Column.
- Click Refresh Headers if columns changed.
