How to Run a Competitor Analysis Report in Sparkforge

The Competitor Analysis Report is an add-on to the Marketing Audit Report. It compares a sub-account's business listings and review metrics against up to three competitors so you can see exactly where your online presence trails or leads.

Prerequisite: run the Marketing Audit first

1. Open the Reporting tab.
2. Select Local Marketing Audit.
3. Click Generate Report and wait for processing to finish.

The competitor comparison runs against this baseline data, so the audit has to be in place before you can compare.

Run the competitor comparison

1. Inside the Audit Report, navigate to the Compare Reports tab.
2. Enter the names of three competitor businesses. Use direct or local competitors for the cleanest signal.
3. Click Compare Reports.
4. Sparkforge analyzes listings and reviews and returns a side-by-side comparison.

What the report shows

• Listings accuracy: Where your business appears with missing, inconsistent, or incorrect information vs each competitor. Use this to clean up directory data.
• Reviews performance: Comparative review volume, star ratings, and sentiment so you can see who's winning the local reputation race.

Re-run anytime

Return to Compare Reports, swap in different competitors, and run the analysis again. Use it on direct competitors first, then on aspirational ones to map a path forward.
