Workflow Action: Copy Contact to Sub-Account in Sparkforge
Copy Contact duplicates a contact from one sub-account to another, with options to copy tags, custom fields, and update existing duplicates. It's a premium action billed per execution.
The Copy Contact action duplicates a contact into another sub-account inside your system. It's built for operations running multiple sub-accounts that need consistent contact data across them — for example, regional offices or franchise locations.
This is a premium action and incurs per-execution fees.
What gets copied
- The contact record itself.
- Tags from the source (optional toggle).
- Custom field values (optional toggle).
- Updates to an existing contact in the target if a duplicate is found (optional toggle).
Field reference

How to configure
- Pick the target sub-account.

- Toggle Copy Tags if source tags should follow.
- Toggle Copy Custom Fields if you need field values to follow.
- Toggle Update Contact if it Already Exists to avoid creating duplicates.
Suggested triggers
- Contact Added — copy on creation.
- Tag Applied — copy when a specific tag (like VIP) is added.
- Contact Updated — keep target sub-accounts in sync with source edits.
File transfer limits
The action does not copy files or documents between sub-accounts. Files stay attached to the source. If you delete the source contact, file references on the copy may break. Keep the source if those files matter.
Example: VIP routing across regions
- Trigger: Contact Added with filter Tag = VIP.
- Action: Copy Contact.
- Target: Regional Office sub-account.
- Add Tag in target: VIP.
- Copy Tags: on. Copy Custom Fields: on. Update if exists: on.
VIP leads land in the regional account automatically, with tags and custom fields intact.
