How to Track WhatsApp Workflow Statistics in Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Sparkforge workflows include a Statistics tab on every WhatsApp action that breaks down totals, sent, delivered, read, pending, and failed messages. Open the action in Automations and click Statistics to view or export the data.

Every WhatsApp action inside a Sparkforge workflow has a built-in Statistics tab. The tab breaks down message volume and engagement so you can confirm delivery, spot failures, and tune templates without leaving the workflow.

How to view WhatsApp statistics in a workflow

  1. Go to Automations and open the workflow that contains a WhatsApp action.
  2. Click the WhatsApp action to open its detail panel.
  3. Select the Statistics tab.

You will see counts for every message triggered by that action across the selected date range.

Status definitions

StatusWhat it means
TotalAll WhatsApp messages this action triggered in the selected range.
PendingQueued messages that have not yet been triggered.
SentSent to WhatsApp, awaiting delivery. Single tick.
DeliveredReached the recipient device. Double ticks. Includes recipients with read receipts disabled.
ReadOpened by the recipient. Blue ticks.
FailedCould not deliver — non-WhatsApp number, blacklisted template, blocked account, or marketing template limits.

If a recipient has read receipts off, the message stays in Delivered even after they read it. That is a WhatsApp privacy setting, not a Sparkforge limitation.

How to export WhatsApp statistics

  1. Open Automations and the workflow with the WhatsApp action.
  2. Click the action and open the Statistics tab.
  3. Click Export.

The CSV download includes recipient name, phone number, status, and timestamp for each message.

Common reasons for failed messages

  • Number is not registered with WhatsApp.
  • Template is blacklisted by WhatsApp.
  • Recipient blocked your business account.
  • Per-user marketing template message limits hit.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I open WhatsApp statistics inside a workflow?
Go to Automations, open the workflow, click the WhatsApp action, and select the Statistics tab.
What is the difference between Sent and Delivered?
Sent means the message left Sparkforge for WhatsApp (one tick). Delivered means it reached the recipient device (double ticks).
Why does a read message still show as Delivered?
If the recipient has read receipts turned off in WhatsApp, Sparkforge cannot see the read event, so the message stays in Delivered.
Can I export the WhatsApp message log?
Yes. The Export button on the Statistics tab downloads a CSV with contact name, phone number, status, and timestamp for each message.
What causes a WhatsApp message to fail?
Common causes include invalid or non-WhatsApp numbers, blacklisted templates, blocked accounts, and per-user marketing template limits.
