WhatsApp Full Setup Guide for Sparkforge Agencies

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Connect your agency Stripe account, set WhatsApp pricing in Agency Dashboard > Reselling, and either auto-resell or directly deploy WhatsApp per sub-account. The system creates two subscriptions: one between you and the client, one between you and Sparkforge ($10/month/location).

WhatsApp on Sparkforge is sold to your sub-accounts in two modes: auto-resell (Stripe required, client pays you) or direct deploy (no Stripe, agency pays Sparkforge directly). This guide walks both paths and explains how billing actually flows.

Prerequisite: Connect Stripe (For Auto-Reselling)

Auto-reselling requires a connected agency Stripe account so you can collect subscription payments from clients. If you do not connect Stripe, you can still deploy WhatsApp — but your agency gets billed instead of the client.

Set Agency-Wide WhatsApp Pricing

  1. Open Agency Dashboard.
  2. Click the Reselling tab in the left menu.
  3. Configure your offer pricing.

Custom Pricing for a Specific Client

  1. Go to the Sub-Account List and search for the client.
  2. Click the three-dot menu, then Manage Clients.
  3. Open the Reselling section.
  4. Update the WhatsApp pricing and click Save.

Disable WhatsApp for a Client

  1. Sub-Account List → search for the client → three dots → Manage Clients.
  2. Scroll to the Reselling section.
  3. Toggle WhatsApp off and save.

You can only disable WhatsApp before a sale. Once a location buys WhatsApp, disabling means cancellation — open a support ticket to cancel an active subscription.

Direct Deploy (No Stripe)

  1. Sub-Account List → client → three dots → Manage Clients.
  2. Scroll to the Reselling section.
  3. Under WhatsApp, read and accept the Deploy WA Directly terms.
  4. Click Pay Now.

The WhatsApp tab does not appear in the location until manual deployment completes. Direct deploy does not create a location-to-agency subscription, but the Sparkforge-to-agency subscription still gets created. Conversation charges hit the agency wallet, not the location.

How Auto-Resell Billing Works

Two subscriptions get created when a client purchases WhatsApp:

  1. Client card → your Stripe account. You collect from the client.
  2. Sparkforge → your Stripe account. You pay Sparkforge $10/month per location.

The $10/month gets you free inbound and outbound messages within a 24-hour conversation window. Inbound messages from leads open and extend that window. After 24 hours of silence, you must use a campaign or template message to reopen the window — templates are charged based on the destination country and template type (Marketing, Utility, Authentication, Service).

Check Your Sparkforge WhatsApp Billing

  1. Go to Agency Settings → Billing → Subscription → Reselling WhatsApp.
  2. Click Show Sub-Accounts for a per-location breakdown.

How Clients Discover and Buy WhatsApp

Clients find WhatsApp under Sub-Account → Settings → WhatsApp. They enter payment details and click Confirm. The system processes payment, creates both subscriptions, and redirects them to the WhatsApp signup flow to connect their WhatsApp account.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need Stripe to resell WhatsApp?
Only for auto-reselling. Without Stripe, you can still deploy WhatsApp directly, but Sparkforge bills your agency instead of your client.
How much does Sparkforge charge per WhatsApp location?
$10 per month per location, on a subscription between Sparkforge and your agency.
Are inbound WhatsApp messages free?
Inbound messages are included. Outbound messages within an open 24-hour conversation window are also included. Outbound template messages outside that window are charged per country and template type.
Can I cancel a WhatsApp subscription from the agency dashboard?
No. Once a location has purchased WhatsApp, the disable toggle is locked. Open a support ticket to cancel.
What happens with conversation charges in direct deploy mode?
All conversation charges come out of the agency wallet. The location is not billed for WhatsApp conversations.
