How to Update Your WhatsApp Business Profile in Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Update your WhatsApp Business profile photo from Settings > WhatsApp > Numbers > Update Business Profile. Use a 640x640 square image at most 5 MB to avoid resize issues.

Your WhatsApp Business profile is what customers see when they tap your name in a conversation. Sparkforge lets you update the profile image and business details directly from the WhatsApp settings panel.

Update the profile picture

  1. Go to Settings > WhatsApp > Numbers.
  2. Click the three dots under Actions and pick Update Business Profile.
  3. Under Display Image, click to upload your new photo.
  4. Click Save.

Image specs

  • WhatsApp crops the image to a square with a max edge of 640 px.
  • Max file size is 5 MB.
  • Images smaller than 192 px on either side may render badly after the resize — use 640x640 to avoid that.

Where customers see the profile

Customers tap your business name or number in a conversation thread to open the profile. The fields you fill in — business name, address, category, description, email, website — all show up there. Keep them accurate so customers don't bounce out to look up details elsewhere.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size should my WhatsApp Business profile photo be?
640x640 pixels is the safe target. WhatsApp crops the image to a square with a 640 px max edge, and images smaller than 192 px tend to render poorly after the resize. Cap the file at 5 MB.
Why does my profile picture matter?
It's the first visual a customer sees in a thread. A clean, on-brand profile photo sets the bar for trust before they read a word.
What information can I add to a WhatsApp Business profile?
Business name, address, category, short description, email, and website. All of it is publicly viewable inside any conversation thread.
Where do I update the profile details from in Sparkforge?
Settings > WhatsApp > Numbers, then click the three dots in the Actions column and choose Update Business Profile.
