How to Set Up the Voice AI Chat Widget in Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

The Voice AI Chat Widget streams microphone audio through WebRTC for live, in-browser voice conversations with a Sparkforge AI agent. No phone number, no app install, and a 20-call concurrent cap.

The Voice AI Chat Widget turns your site's chat bubble into a live voice conversation. Visitors talk to a Sparkforge AI agent through their microphone and speakers, all in the browser. No PSTN call, no SIP trunk, no app to install.

What it does

  • Zero friction. Visitors speak instantly, no dial-out and no install.
  • Natural conversation. Real-time voice keeps prospects engaged longer than text chat.
  • Brandable agent. Display a custom persona name (e.g. BuilderAi) inside the widget.
  • Built-in safeguards. reCAPTCHA throttles abuse and a recording-disclaimer banner clarifies expectations.

The feature is in Labs and must be enabled by an Agency Admin for sub-accounts before it appears.

How it works under the hood

Audio streams through WebRTC directly between the visitor's browser and the agent. There is no telephony hop, so latency is low and there is nothing to provision.

Recording disclaimer

The widget shows a banner that reads "All voice AI calls made using chat widgets cannot be recorded." This keeps compliance expectations clear for both you and the visitor.

reCAPTCHA throttling

If a visitor connects or disconnects 10 times within 60 seconds, Google reCAPTCHA prompts to confirm they're human. This stops bot loops and abuse before they affect quality.

Limits

  • Up to 100 Voice AI agents per location.
  • 20 concurrent calls per widget. Call 21 triggers a red banner. Other widget locations have their own 20-call limit.
  • Call transfer is not supported during the beta.

For service status, check status.sparkforge.com.

Supported features

  • Start a voice call with the AI agent.
  • Mute the agent during the conversation.
  • Capture contact info during the call.
  • End or restart the call.

Set up the Voice Widget

  1. Go to Sites → Chat Widget → New and pick Voice AI as the widget type.
