How to Set Up an Embedded Live Chat Widget in Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Sparkforge's Embedded Live Chat Widget renders the chat inline inside your page content instead of as a floating bubble. Configure it under Sites > Chat Widget, switch placement to Embedded/Inline, then paste the embed code into a funnel or website.

Sparkforge Live Chat usually shows up as a floating bubble in the corner. The Embedded Live Chat Widget puts the same chat experience inline inside your page content, where visitors are already making decisions.

What the Embedded Widget Does

The widget renders inside your page layout instead of floating above it. Routing, lead capture, and chat management still flow through the standard Live Chat system. Only the placement changes.

It works on funnels, websites, landing pages, custom HTML sites, and any other surface that accepts Sparkforge chat embeds. Mobile layout is responsive by default.

Set Up the Embedded Widget

  1. Go to Sites > Chat Widget and click + New, or open an existing widget.
  2. Select Live Chat.
  3. Open the Style tab. Under Widget Placement, choose Embedded / Inline (Renders inside content).
  4. Configure theme, intro message, contact form fields, business hours, and assignment rules.
  5. Click Get Code in the top right and copy the embed script.

Add the Widget to a Page

Funnels and Websites

  1. Open the Funnel Builder or Website editor.
  2. Add a Custom Code element where you want chat to appear.
  3. Paste the embed code, save, and publish.

External Pages

Paste the embed code into your HTML at the position you want the widget to render, then publish.

Where to Place It

  • Near forms, pricing blocks, and booking sections to capture pre-submission questions.
  • On consultation and service pages where visitors hesitate.
  • Inside dedicated contact sections as a visible alternative to email.

Troubleshooting

  • Widget not showing: Confirm the embed code is in place and the page is published.
  • Layout issues: Check container width and padding. The widget needs room to render cleanly.
  • Mobile spacing: Review on a phone after publishing. Adjust the wrapper element if it looks cramped.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the embedded widget change how chats are routed?
No. Routing, automation, and CRM data capture work exactly the same as the floating widget. Only the placement on the page changes.
Can I use both embedded and floating widgets on the same site?
Yes. Embedded widgets render inline on specific pages, and you can keep sticky floating widgets on other pages.
Is the embedded widget mobile responsive?
Yes. The widget adjusts automatically for smaller screens while remaining inside the page content.
Where should I place the embedded widget for the best results?
Near high-intent content like forms, pricing tables, booking sections, and CTAs. Place it where visitors typically hesitate or have questions.
