How to Set Up the All-in-One Chat Widget in Sparkforge
The All-in-One Chat widget combines Live Chat, SMS/Email, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and Voice AI into a single embed on your site. Channels appear only when their prerequisites are met in the sub-account.
The All-in-One Chat widget combines every visitor communication channel — Live Chat, SMS/Email, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and Voice AI — into one embed. Visitors pick how they want to reach you. You manage one widget instead of six.
Channels and prerequisites
Every channel only appears in the widget's Chat Type selector when its requirements are met in the sub-account:
- Live Chat: always available.
- SMS/Email: always available.
- Facebook: requires a connected Facebook Page or account.
- Instagram: requires a connected Instagram account.
- Voice AI: requires a configured Voice AI widget.
- WhatsApp: requires a connected WhatsApp number plus an existing WhatsApp chat widget.
Missing prerequisites mean the channel won't show up as an option. Connect the channel first, then come back.
Setup
1. Create the widget
Go to Sites → Chat Widget. Click Create New Chat Widget and pick All-in-One Chat. If the option isn't visible, refresh or sign out and back in.
2. Pick your channels
Open the widget and switch to the Style tab. In Chat Type, multi-select any combination of available channels. The preview pane updates instantly.
3. Configure widget settings
General: name the widget (e.g., Main Site Widget) and set the brand color. The widget uses one unified color across all channels.
Live Chat: set display name, greeting message, and offline behavior.
Email Chat: customize form fields and greeting messages.
WhatsApp: confirm the number and default greeting.
4. Set the initial message
Customize the message that appears when visitors first open the widget — something like Hello! How can we help you today?. Live Chat also supports two extra prompts in the Chat Window tab: Contact Form Intro Message and Contact Form System Message. Leaving either blank skips the prompt.
5. Save and preview
Click Save. Test the widget on your site to confirm each channel works.
How visitors use it
Visitors switch channels from the chat header. Only the channels you enabled in the multi-select appear. Sessions stay open until a sub-account user closes them or the inactivity timeout fires.
Troubleshooting
- Widget not appearing: verify the embed code is on the page. Find it under Sites → Chat Widget → Install Code.
- WhatsApp missing: check the WhatsApp integration is active and a number is connected.
- Email not sending: confirm the sender address is verified in account settings.
