How to Use the Mobile Estimates Dashboard and Builder in Sparkforge
The Estimates section in the Sparkforge mobile app lets you build estimates on-site, send them by email or text, track sent/accepted/declined status, and convert accepted estimates into invoices for collection.
The Sparkforge mobile app includes a dedicated Estimates section so technicians can build a precise quote with the customer on-site, send it for approval, and convert accepted estimates into invoices.
What a Mobile Estimate Is
An estimate is a quoted scope of work — parts, supplies, labor, and time — produced after a technician walks the job. It's accurate but subject to change as the work progresses. Building it on a phone or tablet means the customer reviews and accepts before you leave.
Estimate Dashboard
The dashboard surfaces your active estimates with status cards for:
- Sent estimates
- Accepted estimates
- Declined estimates
- Invoiced estimates
Filter by search term, status, or date range. Estimates created on web or mobile both appear in the same list.
Estimate Card Gestures
- Tap — primary action (e.g., edit a draft).
- Long press — every action available for that estimate (Copy link, Mark as Accepted, etc.).
- Left swipe — reveals the two top actions for the current status, plus a More option.
Build a New Estimate
- Open the left navigation in the mobile app and tap Estimates.
- Tap the + button to start a new estimate.
- Link a contact and set the estimate name, issue date, due date, and estimate number.
- Add items — custom or from the catalog. Link taxes to products and pick the right variant combinations as you go.
- Add Terms & Notes.
- Review the contact, dates, items, and any discount.
- Send by email, text, or both.
What Happens After You Send
The customer opens the estimate from a link and accepts or declines on their own device. Status updates flow back to the mobile dashboard automatically. Accepted estimates can be converted into an invoice from the same record so you can collect payment.
