Collect In-Person Signatures with the Sparkforge Mobile App

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

The Sparkforge mobile app supports in-person signing. Publish a document, open it in View As mode for the recipient, hand the device over for typed or hand-drawn signature capture, and repeat for each signer.

For deals that close in the room, you do not need a printer. The Sparkforge mobile app captures signatures directly on the device, with no email round-trip.

What you can do

  • View As Signer — open a published document on behalf of any listed recipient.
  • Sign on Mobile — capture typed or hand-drawn signatures inside the app.
  • Use Templates — spin up documents from saved templates with one or more signature fields.

The feature is available in the standard Sparkforge mobile apps and white-labeled apps. White-labeled apps may need an update to expose it.

Collect a signature in person

  1. Sign in to the mobile app on the correct sub-account.
  2. Open the left-hand drawer and go to Documents and Contracts.
  3. Tap to create a document from a template that includes signature fields.
  4. Tap the Share icon and copy the link to publish the document.
  5. Exit the editor and open the All Documents tab. Refresh if the document is not yet marked Sent.
  6. Tap the three-dot menu on the document and select View as. Pick the intended signer.
  7. Hand the device to the recipient. They sign by typing or drawing, and fill any other required fields.
  8. Repeat View as for each additional signer.

Once everyone has signed, the document is fully executed and saved with all captured signatures.

Notes for setup

  • The template needs the right number of signature fields for each signer.
  • View as only appears once the document reaches Sent status.
  • White-labeled apps must be on the version that supports in-person signing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do all signers need their own device?
No. Pass your device between signers and use View As to switch recipients. Each person signs in turn.
Can recipients sign by typing or drawing?
Both. The signature pad accepts typed text and free-hand drawing on the touchscreen.
Why is the View As option missing?
View As only shows up after the document reaches Sent status. Refresh the All Documents list if you just published it.
Does this work in white-labeled apps?
Yes, but the white-labeled app needs to be on a version that includes in-person signing. Update it if the option is missing.
