Why edit on the fly

Field transactions rarely match the catalog exactly. The Sparkforge mobile POS lets you change every detail of an item without leaving the transaction or pre-editing the catalog.

What you can change

• Name. Rename a custom keypad amount or override a catalog item.
• Description. Add notes that flow through to the invoice or receipt.
• Price and quantity. Adjust either before or after review.
• Taxes. Link tax rates to custom keypad items.
• Save for later use. Toggle a custom item back into the catalog.

Where to find the editor

The Update Product editor opens from two places:

1. The Item Details button on the Point of Sale keypad, directly under the amount.
2. The item card on the Review Payment screen.

Adding a variant combination

To add a different variant of the same product, tap the plus icon on the quantity counter on the catalog page, then choose New customization. Each customization travels through the rest of the transaction independently.

Step-by-step

1. Open the Sparkforge mobile app and tap the $ icon on the bottom bar.
2. Build the order using the keypad for custom amounts or the catalog for stocked items.
3. For keypad amounts, tap Item Details to rename, describe, tax, or save the item.
4. For catalog items, tap the item tile to edit name, description, price, or quantity. Pick the right variant if the product has multiple.
5. Tap Charge to move to review.
6. On the review screen, tap any item tile to make further edits.
7. Tap Choose Payment Instruments, then pick a payment method or convert the transaction into an invoice or estimate.
