Upgrade Funnels to v2 for SaaS Selling in Sparkforge

Sparkforge funnels and websites have two versions. v2 is faster, more secure, and better at converting. If you sell SaaS — recurring subscriptions managed through Sparkforge billing — you must run v2 because of card authorization requirements that v1 cannot satisfy.

Step 1: Confirm your current version

Open the funnel or website. If it is already v2, you are done. If it is v1, continue to Step 2.

Step 2: Use Stripe Connect at the agency level

To sell SaaS, the Stripe account on the funnel must match the Stripe account at agency level. In agency view open Settings → Stripe and confirm the email ID. If you are signed into multiple Stripe accounts, double-check which one is connected.

Step 3: Import Stripe products before upgrading

Import your Stripe products into the SaaS location before you upgrade the funnel. This makes sure the v2 product mapping is clean post-upgrade.

Step 4: Run the upgrade

Click upgrade on the v1 funnel. The process runs for about 45–60 seconds. Do not navigate away from the page until it finishes.

Step 5: Test in live mode

After the upgrade, test a real purchase in live mode. SaaS account creation does not work in test mode — you have to put a real card through to confirm the flow.

Why v1 cannot stay

v1 funnels miss 3D Secure, do not use Stripe Connect, and cannot run the card authorization step that protects recurring SaaS subscriptions. v2 is now the only supported path for selling SaaS through Sparkforge.
