How the SaaS Wallet Works in Sparkforge
The SaaS Wallet holds prepaid credits that pay for SMS, calls, and email at the sub-account level. Recharge it manually, set auto-recharge thresholds, or grant complimentary credits from the SaaS Configurator.
The SaaS Wallet is the prepaid balance Sparkforge uses to bill clients for usage-based services like SMS, voice, and email. The agency funds it from the client's card on file, and every send debits the wallet at your rebilling rate.
Where the wallet lives
Find it under Sub-Account Settings > Company Billing > Credits. From here you can recharge, set auto-recharge rules, and view transaction history via See Details.
How rebilling math works
If a client sends 100 messages with a hard cost of $10 and your rebill multiplier is 5x, the platform pulls $50 from the wallet. The agency pays the carrier $10 and pockets the $40 spread. Wallet recharges run through your Stripe account, so the client is paying the agency for the credits.
Some carrier charges land 6 to 24 hours after the event, so transaction timestamps may lag.
Four ways to add credits
- Auto-recharge — set a top-up amount and a low-balance trigger in Company Billing > Credits.
- Manual charge — hit Add Balance to charge the client's primary card on demand.
- Monthly complimentary credits — grant free credits as part of a SaaS Plan from the SaaS Configurator.
- Agency-issued complimentary credits — push one-time credits from the agency view.
Removing credits
Complimentary credits can be revoked directly from the wallet. Non-complimentary credits (the ones the client paid for) require a refund.
Refunding non-complimentary credits
Wallet credits and Stripe charges are linked but not auto-synced after the credits are spent. If a client added $100, used $40, and has $60 remaining, you can only refund the $60. Refunding the original $100 in Stripe creates a mismatch between the wallet ledger and your Stripe account.
Recharge retries
If a card declines on auto-recharge, the system retries on a schedule. SaaS Wallets cover telephone and email rebilling. Agency Wallets handle ISV (premium feature) charges and follow the same retry logic.
Trial behavior
If your SaaS plan includes a trial, you can choose whether complimentary credits are issued during the trial or only after conversion.
