Customize the SaaS Subscription Cancellation Flow in Sparkforge
In SaaS Configurator > Cancellation Settings, swap the one-click cancel for a branded flow that collects reasons, offers a save discount, optionally redirects out, and logs every attempt.
The Custom SaaS Cancellation Flow replaces the default one-click cancel with a branded, multi-step exit. You decide the wording, the save offer, and what happens after a customer clicks cancel. Every attempt is logged.
Global toggle: Allow Clients to Cancel Subscription
This master switch controls whether the Modify / Cancel button appears in the subaccount Billing Dashboard.
- Path: Agency View > SaaS Configurator > Cancellation Settings.
- Default for new SaaS businesses: OFF.
- Changes take effect right after Save.
Manage cancellation reasons
- Open SaaS Configurator > Cancellation Settings.
- Under Manage Cancellation Reason, use the defaults or add new ones.
- Click the pencil icon to edit a reason or the plus icon to add one.
- The Other option is always present and accepts free-text feedback.
Offer a save discount
Sparkforge can present a time-bound percentage discount before the customer confirms cancellation. Accepted offers apply automatically on the next billing cycle.
- Toggle on Enable Discount Offer.
- Set the Discount % (for example, 25%).
- Set the Discount Duration (for example, 3 months on a monthly plan).
- Optionally allow customers to receive the offer more than once.
Note: The discount feature is currently V1 subaccounts only.
Redirect to an external page
If you want to handle cancellation outside Sparkforge (a survey, a save concierge page, a booking link), use the redirect.
- Under Redirect to External Page, enter the URL.
- When enabled, customers are sent to that page right after picking a cancellation reason.
- The cancellation does not complete inside Sparkforge.
Activity Logs
Every cancellation attempt is logged. Scroll to the Activity Logs section to see:
- Subaccount name and user.
- Timestamp.
- Plan details.
- Cancellation reason.
- Outcome: Cancelled or Deflected.
- Detection type (coupon, redirect, and so on).
Click Download to export the log.
Preview before going live
Use Preview Mode to walk through the flow exactly as the customer will see it. No coupons are issued and no log entries are created in Preview.
- Click Preview in the top right of Cancellation Settings.
- Step through each screen.
- Validate copy, discount math, and redirect destinations.
