How to Transfer Community Group Ownership in Sparkforge
Sparkforge community owners can transfer group ownership to another user with location access. Agency users can also Login As a specific contact and jump from a group card straight to the contact's smartlist.
Sparkforge added three self-service options to community management: ownership transfer, Login As, and contact links from group cards. They cut the manual back-and-forth out of building groups for clients and managing them at scale.
Transfer ownership
The owner of a community group can transfer ownership to any other agency user with access to the location.
Example use case
An agency builds community groups on behalf of clients, then transfers ownership to the client. The client becomes the owner of record, and the agency's name no longer appears as the creator.
Login As a specific contact
An agency user or account owner can log in to a group as a specific contact from the list of associated contacts.
- If the agency or location user is associated with more than one contact, Sparkforge shows the full list.
- Clicking a contact logs in to the group as that contact.
Use this to QA member-facing experience, troubleshoot reported issues, or post on a client's behalf where appropriate.
Contact links from group cards
Click the owner name on any group card to jump straight to that owner's contact smartlist page in the CRM. No more switching tabs to look up a member's record.
