Sync Your Countdown Timer Across Emails and Funnels

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Sync the same Sparkforge countdown timer across the email and the funnel landing page so the deadline matches everywhere. Configure active and expired links once, reuse the timer on both surfaces.

For a countdown to feel real, it has to read the same on the email and the page the email points to. The same timer asset goes on both.

When to sync

  • Sale countdown. Same timer on the website and the email — customers see the same time remaining wherever they click.
  • Product release. Timer on the landing page and in the launch email; when it expires, the page redirects to the live product page.
  • Event registration. Early-bird timer on the registration page and in invitation emails; when it expires, registration switches to standard pricing.
  • Webinar sign-up. Timer on the sign-up page and in the invite; when it expires, the page redirects to a waitlist or info page.

Steps to sync

  1. Configure redirect links. Set up the active and expired pages in funnels (e.g., discount page and expired page).
  2. Create the timer. Go to Marketing > Countdown Timer and create a new timer using those links.
  3. Add the timer to the email. Build the email campaign, insert the countdown element, and select the timer.
  4. Style the timer. Adjust appearance in the timer settings.
  5. Add a CTA button. Link it to the active timer page using the timer's link.
  6. Add the same timer to the funnel page. Insert the countdown element on the active offer page.
  7. Match style. Position and style the funnel timer to match the email version.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use the same timer across multiple emails and pages?
Yes. Create the timer once and reuse it everywhere — that's what keeps the deadline synced for the audience.
What happens when the timer expires on the funnel page?
The page automatically redirects to the expired link you configured when you built the timer.
Does the email timer auto-redirect when it expires?
The email shows an expired image instead of the timer, and the image links to the expired page. The redirect happens when the recipient clicks.
Why do my email and page timers show different times?
Either they're different timer assets or the email client cached an old GIF (common in Apple Mail). Use the same saved timer on both and the times stay aligned.
