How to Add a Countdown Timer to a Sparkforge Funnel
Build the timer under Marketing > Countdown Timers, then drop it into any funnel using the HTML Countdown Timer element or a Code Block with the timer's embed code.
Countdown timers drive action by visually counting down to a deadline — flash sales, limited-time offers, event registrations. In Sparkforge, you build the timer once and reuse it across funnels and websites.
What a countdown timer does
Each timer tracks the time remaining until a specific event or deadline. Sparkforge timers are reusable, brand-styled, and configurable to match different campaign goals.
Why use them
- Urgency and scarcity: real-time countdowns push immediate action.
- Multiple types: Fixed, Recurring, and Dynamic cover most campaign styles.
- Reusable: use one timer across many pages without rebuilding.
- Style control: font, size, color, and which time units to display.
Step 1: Create the timer
- Go to Marketing > Countdown Timers and click + New.
- Pick a Countdown Time template and click Continue with Template.
- Under General, choose the timer type:
- Fixed — ends at a specific date and time.
- Recurring — resets on a regular interval.
- Dynamic — countdown starts per contact (ideal for emails).
- Set the timer end date, time zone, and redirect URL.
- Under Style, toggle which time units to display and adjust font, size, and color.
Step 2: Add it to a funnel
You have two ways to drop a timer into a funnel — the dedicated element or a code block.
Option A: HTML Countdown Timer element
Best for everything built inside Sparkforge.
- Go to Sites > Funnels and click Edit Page on the funnel step you want to update.
- Click the + icon at the top-left to open the Add Element panel.
- Pick Countdown Timers, select your timer, and drag it into the section where you want it to appear.
Option B: Code block
Best when you'll also reuse the timer on a third-party site.
- Open Marketing > Countdown Timers and select your timer.
- In the top-right, click Copy Code, then click the blue Copy button on the popup.
- Open the funnel under Sites > Funnels.
- Click the + icon to open the element panel and select Code.
- Drag the code element into place, click it to open the editor, and paste the snippet.
