Eject a Sparkforge Sub-Account into a New Agency

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Eject a sub-account from Agency Level > Sub-Accounts > Manage Client > Actions > Transfer Sub-account, nominate the new owner, and confirm. Most assets transfer; auth connections, SaaS settings, domains, and active third-party subscriptions don't.

Ejecting a sub-account converts it into its own independent agency account on Sparkforge. The nominated user receives an invite to start the new agency on the $97/month plan, and the original agency earns 40% affiliate commission on every renewal that follows.

Steps for the sender

  1. Go to Agency Level > Sub-Accounts.
  2. Open Manage Client for the sub-account you're ejecting.
  3. Click Actions > Transfer Sub-account.
  4. Choose Eject to a New Agency when prompted.
  5. Nominate the user who will own the new agency. They receive an email with a signup link.
  6. Review the ejection guidelines and click Confirm Transfer.
  7. Enter your password to confirm. The nominee gets an email with setup instructions.

To track ejections, go to Agency Level > Sub-Accounts > Sub-account Transfers > Eject.

Steps for the nominee

  1. Open the email titled Access your account from the agency.
  2. Click the link to reach the login page in a new browser window.
  3. Sign in with your Sparkforge account credentials.
  4. Review and confirm the prefilled Company Details and Billing Address.
  5. The plan defaults to $97/month. Click Continue to Payment.
  6. Enter card details and confirm.
  7. Watch for the welcome email with a link to set the password for the new agency.

The ejected sub-account transfers automatically into the new agency once it's created.

What transfers

  • Websites and funnels.
  • Sparkforge calendars (external calendar integrations are disconnected).
  • Automations (set to Draft after the move).
  • Contacts plus their conversations, appointments, opportunities, and history.
  • Users with User Type Account assigned only to that sub-account.
  • Contacts stay enrolled in workflows, with workflow data intact.
  • Sub-account level API keys.

What does not transfer

  • Auth connections (Google, Facebook, Instagram, QuickBooks, Clio, DrChrono, Yext) get deleted.
  • Facebook and Google settings clear.
  • Sub-account-level Stripe fields clear.
  • SaaS settings don't transfer; SaaS Mode is auto-disabled before the transfer.
  • Smartlists.
  • Mailgun and SMTP configurations.
  • Active third-party subscriptions like WordPress, Yext, WhatsApp, and Dedicated IP must be canceled before the transfer.

Phone number transfers

Both agencies on Sparkforge

  • Phone numbers move with the sub-account automatically.
  • A2P DLC status carries over. No re-registration needed.
  • Future phone usage charges accrue to the receiving agency.

Either agency on Twilio

  • Sparkforge does not move numbers in this case.
  • Coordinate with the previous account owner and Twilio to keep numbers connected.

Domains

Domains are not carried over automatically. Every custom URL, root or subdomain, has to be reconfigured in the new agency. None of the old DNS records move.

Reconfiguring

  • Root domain (example.com): enter it as-is in the Domain field, then update your DNS provider with the records Sparkforge provides (typically an A record or a CNAME for www).
  • Subdomain (pages.example.com): enter the full subdomain. Sparkforge generates a CNAME you copy into your DNS host.
  • SSL is issued automatically once DNS propagates.

Plan to reconnect domains right after the new agency owner accepts the transfer so funnels, websites, and branded links keep resolving.

Pre-transfer prep

  • Set users you want moved to User Type Account assigned only to the target sub-account.
  • Disable SaaS Mode if it's on.
  • Cancel WordPress, Yext, WhatsApp, Dedicated IP, and other active subscriptions.

Post-transfer setup

  • Reconnect Google, Facebook, QuickBooks, Clio, DrChrono, and any other auth integrations.
  • Re-integrate Facebook and Google.
  • Set up sub-account-level Stripe.
  • Re-add Sparkforge Email, Mailgun/SMTP, and Twilio.
  • Re-add domains.
  • Re-enable SaaS Mode for any SaaS sub-accounts.

Frequently Asked Questions

What plan does the new agency start on?
The setup defaults to the $97/month plan. The original agency earns 40% affiliate commission on every renewal.
Are domains transferred automatically?
No. Domains and subdomains have to be reconfigured in the new agency, including DNS records. SSL re-issues once DNS propagates.
Do phone numbers move with the sub-account?
Yes when both agencies and the sub-account are fully on Sparkforge. If either side is on Twilio, you'll need to coordinate the move with Twilio directly.
Can I eject a HIPAA-enabled sub-account?
Yes. HIPAA-enabled sub-accounts can be ejected, with the same caveats around auth connections and integrations re-needing setup.
What happens to active automations after transfer?
They move with the sub-account but are set to Draft. Review and republish them in the new agency once integrations are reconnected.
