How to Transfer a Sparkforge Sub-Account Between Agencies
A sub-account transfer moves an entire Sparkforge sub-account from one agency to another — not a partial move or a merge. Most data transfers, but auth connections, SaaS settings, and active subscriptions like WordPress or Yext do not.
A sub-account transfer moves an entire Sparkforge sub-account from one agency (Releasing Agency) to another (Receiving Agency). It's not a merge — you can't combine data from two sub-accounts. It's not partial — you can't transfer some data and leave the rest.
Send a sub-account to another agency
- Go to Agency Level > Sub-Accounts.
- Click Manage Client on the sub-account to transfer.
- Select Actions > Transfer Sub-account.
- Enter the receiving agency's Relationship Number.
- Confirm. A request is sent to the receiving agency.
The transfer completes when the receiving agency approves it.
Track or cancel a transfer
From Agency Level > Sub-Accounts > Sub-account Transfers > Send, you can see request status. To cancel, click the 3-dot menu and select Cancel Request.
Bulk transfers are supported in-app for moving many sub-accounts at once.
Receive a sub-account from another agency
- You'll get an email when a transfer is requested. Click Review Request.
- Or go to Agency Level > Sub-Accounts > Sub-account Transfers.
- On the Transfer Requests page, click Approve.
The sub-account moves to your agency immediately.
What transfers
- Websites and funnels
- Sparkforge calendars (external calendar integrations are disconnected)
- All automations — transferred in Live state
- Contacts, conversations, appointments, opportunities, and history
- Workflow enrollments — contacts stay enrolled in their current step
- Memberships, feed data, learning courses, events, leaderboard, members
- Stripe accounts associated with member payments
- Sub-account level API keys — unchanged
- Users with User Type 'Account' assigned only to that sub-account
What does not transfer
- All auth connections (Google, Facebook, Instagram, QuickBooks, Clio, DrChrono, Listings)
- Facebook and Google integration settings
- Sub-account level Stripe fields
- SaaS settings — SaaS Mode is automatically disabled before transfer
- Smartlists
- Active subscriptions: WordPress, Yext, WhatsApp, Dedicated IP — these must be cancelled before the transfer
Phone numbers
Both agencies on Sparkforge
Phone numbers transfer automatically with the sub-account. A2P DLC registration is preserved — already-registered numbers don't need to re-register. Phone usage charges going forward are billed to the receiving agency.
One or both agencies on Twilio
Sparkforge does not transfer phone numbers in this case. You're responsible for working with the previous account owner and Twilio directly to move numbers.
Email services
Sub-account in an LC agency
- Agency-assigned dedicated domain: removed during transfer.
- Sub-account-owned dedicated domain: transfers with the sub-account. Dedicated IPs are unassigned and the IP subscription is removed.
- Email verification: the on/off state is preserved.
- Post-transfer: if the new agency is also LC, the sub-account stays LC. If the new agency uses its own email service, the sub-account switches to non-LC.
Sub-account in a non-LC agency
- Mailgun (any source): deleted. Sub-account uses the new agency's default email provider.
- SMTP: removed. Sub-account adopts the new agency's SMTP/email provider.
Pre-transfer checklist
- Set users you want transferred to User Type Account, assigned only to this sub-account.
- Disable SaaS Mode if enabled.
- Cancel all active subscriptions: WordPress, Listings, WhatsApp, Dedicated IP.
Post-transfer setup (receiving agency)
- Reconnect all auth connections (Google, Facebook, QuickBooks, Clio, DrChrono).
- Reintegrate Facebook and Google.
- Set up sub-account-level Stripe.
- Re-add email (Mailgun or SMTP) and Twilio if using your own.
- Re-add domains.
- Re-enable SaaS Mode if applicable.
