SaaS User Permissions vs Sub-Account Permissions in Sparkforge
In Sparkforge SaaS Mode, sub-account level permissions are set by the SaaS plan's feature set and cap what individual users can be granted. Toggle features in Manage Client → Enable/Disable Products to expand what's available, then adjust per-user under Settings → Team Management.
SaaS Mode in Sparkforge has two layers of permissions: sub-account level (the plan's feature set) and user level (what each individual user can do inside that sub-account). The sub-account level always wins.
How the two layers interact
When someone signs up to a SaaS Mode plan, Sparkforge auto-creates a sub-account governed by the feature set defined in the SaaS Configurator (Agency View → SaaS Configurator → Plans & Pricing → Edit Details). The user account created at signup inherits permissions from that feature set.
A user can never have more permissions than the sub-account level allows. If a feature is off at the sub-account level, no user inside that sub-account can be granted it.
Adjusting sub-account level permissions
- Open Agency View → Sub-Accounts.
- Find the sub-account and click the three-dot menu → Manage Client.
- Scroll to Enable/Disable Products.
- Toggle features on or off. Toggling a feature on unlocks the corresponding user-level permission.
Adjusting user-level permissions
Once the feature is enabled at the sub-account level:
- Enter the sub-account.
- Go to Settings → Team Management.
- Click Edit on the user.
- Adjust the user's permission toggles.
If a user-level toggle is greyed out, it's because the corresponding feature isn't enabled at the sub-account level.
