How to Bundle Marketplace Apps into Sparkforge SaaS Plans
In SaaS Mode, agencies can bundle eligible Marketplace apps into a SaaS plan so new sub-accounts get them auto-installed. You control tier selection, billing pass-through, and removal — up to 10 apps per plan.
If you're running SaaS Mode, you can package eligible Marketplace apps directly into your Sparkforge SaaS plans. New sub-accounts on those plans get the bundled apps auto-installed, with no manual steps. Set the right tiers, decide how to bill the cost, and control the lifecycle from the SaaS Configurator.
What "reselling Marketplace apps" means in SaaS Mode
You include third-party apps as part of a SaaS plan. When a sub-account is created on that plan, those apps install automatically. Standardizes the toolset, cuts manual onboarding work, and improves time-to-value.
Why bundle apps into a plan
- Auto-install — new sub-accounts get the apps the moment the plan is provisioned.
- Flexible billing — absorb app cost or include it in your plan price with markup.
- Standardized onboarding — every new client lands on the same toolset.
- Centralized control — manage tiers and removals from one place.
- Scalable packaging — bundle up to 10 apps per plan.
- Plan visibility — bundled apps display alongside features and add-ons in the SaaS Configurator.
Step 1: Open Marketplace Apps in the SaaS Configurator
- From your agency account, open the SaaS Configurator.
- Create a new SaaS plan or edit an existing one.
- Pick the Marketplace Apps tab.
- You'll see apps already installed at the agency level that are eligible for packaging.
If the list is empty, click Explore Marketplace and install the apps at the agency level first.
Step 2: Add apps to your plan
- Click the + icon under Actions for each app you want to include.
- For paid apps, select the tier you're bundling.
- Repeat for up to 10 apps.
- Click Save Changes.
Billing note: By default, app subscription charges bill to your agency card. To pass costs through, raise your SaaS plan price by the app price plus your markup.
Step 3: Update or remove a bundled app
You can change a bundled app's tier from the SaaS Configurator at any time. To remove an app:
- Click the Remove (bin) button next to the app.
- Confirm the warning.
- Click Save Changes.
Tier changes and removals do not affect existing sub-accounts that already have the app installed. They keep the app until they uninstall it manually.
Eligibility, prerequisites, and limits
- Only apps with the Agency & Sub-Account only distribution type are eligible.
- Up to 10 apps per plan in the current MVP.
- Agency Owner or Admin permissions recommended for SaaS Configurator access.
- Active billing and a valid agency card required.
- Apps must be installed at the agency level before bundling.

How to handle app cost
- By default, app charges bill to your agency card.
- To pass cost through, raise the SaaS plan price to cover the app price plus your markup.
- Review tier alignment across all bundled apps to avoid under-recovery on margins.
