How to Use Member Approval Questions in Sparkforge Communities
As a community admin or owner, ask up to 3 questions to people who request to join. Review answers in the People tab and approve or decline based on the responses.
Member Approval Questions screen new community join requests so admins and owners can vet applicants before letting them in. Up to three questions per group, with multiple answer formats.
Enable approval questions
- Go to Settings > Member Questions.
- Toggle Enable Member Questions on.
Once enabled, every new join request will include the questions you configure.
Add questions
- Click Add Questions. Maximum 3 questions per group.
- Pick the question type:
- Text Box — free-form answer.
- Single Select — pick one option.
- Multi Select — pick multiple options.
- For Single/Multi Select, every option must be unique.
Review and approve
- Go to the People tab and apply the Requested filter.
- Click the 3-dot menu next to a member and choose Membership Answers.
- Approve or Decline based on the responses.

Where do I see new applicants and their answers?

Can a member skip the questions?
No. With approval questions enabled, the join request is gated by the answers.
