Local Presence Dialing in the Sparkforge Mobile App
Local Presence Dialing on the Sparkforge mobile app picks an outbound caller-ID that matches the contact's area code (and city, when possible) so prospects see a local number. Set the default once in the web app and it syncs to mobile.
Local Presence Dialing on the Sparkforge mobile app picks an outbound caller-ID that matches the contact you are calling. The app searches your purchased and verified numbers for the closest area-code match — including city-level on mobile — so the recipient sees a familiar local number instead of an unknown one.
Why it matters
- Higher answer rates from familiar local numbers.
- City-level precision: the app prefers a city match before falling back to state or country.
- International support — uses an in-country number when you dial outside the U.S. or Canada.
- Smart fallback if no area-code match exists.
- Your web app default carries over to mobile automatically.
Fallback logic
- Exact area-code match in your owned numbers.
- If none, the number assigned to the user.
- If still none, the sub-account's primary number.
The result: every call still goes out, even if a perfect local match isn't owned.
City-level precision (mobile only)
The mobile app drills past the state level to find the nearest city number. A call to a 415 lead in San Francisco tries a 415 number first, then any other California number, before falling back further.
Number Picker for one-off overrides
From the call screen, tap the Number Picker to see every dialable number with assignment tags (user, workspace) and number type (Local, Mobile, Toll-Free). Pick a number for a single call — the system reverts to your Local Presence default after the call ends.
How to set it up
- In the web app, open the Location.
- Go to Settings → Phone Numbers → Voice → Other Settings → Outbound Call → Default Phone Number for Outbound Calls.
- Select Local Presence Dialing.
- Update the Sparkforge mobile app to v4.0.0 or later.
- Open the app and start calling — Local Presence is active automatically.
