Docs and Files Tab in the Sparkforge Mobile App

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

The Docs and Files tab on a contact record stores up to 10 files (250 MB total) per upload and auto-sorts them into Internal, Sent, Received, and Custom Fields folders. Available on Sparkforge mobile v3.97.3+.

The Docs and Files tab on a contact record is the per-contact document store in Sparkforge. Contracts, estimates, invoices, and reference material live with the customer they belong to instead of buried in a thread.

How files are organized

Every upload lands in one of four auto-sorted folders so you can find files fast:

  • Internal — files you or your team upload directly.
  • Sent — attachments from outgoing messages, saved automatically.
  • Received — attachments from inbound messages.
  • Custom Fields — files captured through custom field uploads (such as ID images), nested under Internal.

Upload limits and supported types

  • Up to 10 files per upload, 250 MB total.
  • Supported types: DOC, DOCX, PDF, JPG, PNG, PPT, GIF.
  • Preview supported for PDFs, images, and PowerPoint files inside the platform.

How to use Docs and Files

  1. Open any contact in your CRM.
  2. Click or swipe to the Docs and Files tab.
  3. Tap Upload and pick up to 10 files from your device.
  4. Files land in the right folder based on how they were added.

Mobile access

Docs and Files works on the Sparkforge mobile app v3.97.3 and above. Open a contact, swipe to the Docs and Files tab, and tap Upload to pull from your gallery, camera, or device storage.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are uploaded files private to me or shared with the team?
Files are visible to any team member with permission to view that contact record.
Can I rename or delete uploaded files?
You can delete files. Renaming is not currently supported — re-upload with the desired filename if you need a different name.
Can I preview a file without downloading it?
Yes. PDFs, images, and PowerPoint files preview directly in the platform on both desktop and mobile.
How does Sparkforge decide which folder a file goes into?
Manual uploads go to Internal. Files from outgoing messages go to Sent, files from inbound messages go to Received, and custom-field uploads land under Custom Fields.
Can I tag files beyond the four folders?
Not directly. Use custom fields to label specific document types — those uploads stay grouped under Custom Fields automatically.
