How to Use Invoices in the Sparkforge Mobile App
The Sparkforge mobile app lets you build, send, and collect invoices from a dedicated dashboard or directly from a POS transaction. The 4-step builder covers details, items, terms, and review in under 45 seconds.
Invoices on the Sparkforge mobile app live in a dedicated dashboard with a 4-step builder, POS conversion, partial quantities, and real-time tax selection. Everything you create on web or mobile shows up in one list, swipe-actionable for fast follow-up.
What's in the mobile invoice flow
- Invoice dashboard showing earnings collected vs. earnings outstanding.
- Unified list of every invoice across draft, due, and paid states regardless of where it was created.
- Card gestures: tap for the primary action, long-press for the full action menu, left-swipe for the two top actions plus more.
- 4-step builder: initial details, items, terms and notes, review and send.
- Real-time tax selection tied to products configured under Payment settings.
- Partial quantities up to 2 decimal places (1.25, 6.83, etc.).
- Templates tab for repeat invoices.
- POS to invoice conversion from the Payments screen.
Build and send an invoice
- Open the app and tap the hamburger menu, then Invoices.
- Tap the floating + button. Choose one-time or recurring.
- Step 1 — Initial details: recipient, start date, due date. For recurring, set frequency.
- Step 2 — Items: pick from your product catalog or add custom items via keypad. Select variants, quantity, and taxes.
- Step 3 — Terms and notes: include late fee terms if relevant.
- Step 4 — Review and send: adjust quantities, change recipient, add a discount, preview the web view, then tap Send.
- Pick the channel — email, SMS, or both. Contact must have the matching field.
Record a payment
From the invoice list, left-swipe the card and tap Record Payment. You can use tap-to-pay, cash, cards on file, or manual entry.
Convert a POS transaction
Start a POS transaction, add items with quantities and taxes, link a contact, apply any discount. On the Payments instruments screen, tap Convert to Invoice. The builder pre-fills, leaving only due date, terms, and final review.
