Kajabi to Sparkforge Migration Guide

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Migrate Kajabi to Sparkforge using the built-in Kajabi Course Importer for courses, plus manual rebuilds for contacts, calendars, offers, automations, email templates, and websites.

This guide moves your Kajabi business onto Sparkforge: courses, contacts, calendars, offers, automations, email templates, and websites. Sparkforge has a built-in Kajabi importer for courses; the rest is documented rebuild work.

Prep work

Inventory Kajabi

  • Courses, offers, and digital products
  • Automations, email campaigns, and integrations
  • Volume of contacts, orders, and media

Define goals

Decide what you want from the move — better CRM, integrated marketing automation, lower stack cost — and prioritize accordingly.

Back up first

Back up Kajabi themes and course content before you start.

Migrate courses

Sparkforge's Kajabi Course Importer pulls in videos, text, and images. Assignments and quizzes don't transfer automatically — recreate them in Sparkforge.

  1. Run the migration during off-hours.
  2. In Sparkforge, go to Sites > Memberships and select Import from Kajabi.
  3. Authenticate your Kajabi account.
  4. Pick the courses to import. Only published lessons come over.
  5. Click Import Course and wait for the run to finish.

Rebuild assignments and quizzes

  1. Go to Sites > Memberships > Products and pick the product.
  2. Click the + next to a section and choose Add Assessment.
  3. Enter a title, set a passing grade if needed, and write pass/fail messages.
  4. Add Single Choice or Multiple Choice questions and mark correct options.
  5. Save and publish so members can see the assessment.

Migrate contacts

Kajabi emails the export CSV to the account owner with a 3-day download link.

  1. In Kajabi's Contacts tab, select all and bulk export to CSV.
  2. Clean the CSV: dates as YYYY-MM-DD, UTF-8, no emojis or stray line breaks.
  3. Pre-create matching custom fields under Contacts > Settings > Custom Fields.
  4. Import via Contacts > Import Contacts and tag with "Imported from Kajabi".

Migrate calendars

Kajabi's appointments support one-time and recurring events. Sync external calendars in Sparkforge to prevent double-booking.

  1. In Kajabi, review Products > Coaching > Settings and document calendars.
  2. In Sparkforge, recreate them under Subaccount Settings > Calendars with matching reminders, users, and locations.
  3. Connect Google or Outlook under Calendars > Connections.
  4. Manually configure recurrence rules where needed.

Calendar styles

Sparkforge supports Round Robin (distribute among team members), Class schedules, and Recurring appointments. Adjust availability and permissions per calendar.

Migrate offers and automations

Document what's live

List every active Kajabi offer with its product, price, and payment terms. Document each automation's tags, triggers, and email sequences.

Import email templates

  1. In Sparkforge, go to Email Marketing > Templates.
  2. Click New > Import Templates and choose Kajabi.
  3. Copy the provided email ID.
  4. In Kajabi, send the template you want to migrate as a test or campaign to that email ID.
  5. Back in Sparkforge, click Continue, name the template, and select Create Template.

Recreate offers

  1. Go to Memberships > Offer. Enter title, products, and price, then create.
  2. Under Payments > Products, click + Create Product and fill in pricing.
  3. In Additional Options, toggle on Memberships and link the offer.

Rebuild automations

Use Automation > Workflows to recreate Kajabi flows. Common actions include Grant Course Access, Send Email, and If/Else branches.

Migrate website and funnels

  1. Open Sites > Funnels & Websites in Sparkforge.
  2. Use the Template Library to match Kajabi's pages quickly.
  3. Rebuild homepage, product, landing, and contact pages with the pre-built blocks.
  4. Save, preview, and publish each page when ready.

DNS setup

  • A Record: 162.159.140.166 for root domains and subdomains.
  • CNAME Record: sites.ludicrous.cloud for subdomains.
  • If using Cloudflare, set Proxy Status to DNS Only — Sparkforge does not support Cloudflare Proxy.

Add the domain in Sparkforge

  1. Go to Settings > Domains and click + Add Domain.
  2. Enter the domain or subdomain and choose Add Record Manually.
  3. Enable the www redirect for root domains.
  4. Link the domain to a funnel or website and pick the default landing page.
  5. Click Link Domain. Sparkforge issues an SSL certificate automatically.

Final checks

Cross-check imported contacts, courses, and offers. Test every workflow. Train your team on Sparkforge's CRM, course tools, and automation. Run Kajabi and Sparkforge in parallel during the cutover, back up Kajabi one last time, then cancel.
