How to Manually Approve New SaaS Sub-Accounts in Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Enable manual sub-account approval in Sparkforge so every new SaaS signup is held in a Restricted state until an agency admin reviews and approves it. Locks fraud out before it sends a single message.

Scammers like to sign up with stolen cards, top up the sub-account wallet, then blast phishing or spam through the platform. By the time you notice, the damage is done. Manual approval blocks that flow at the door.

How it works

When manual approval is on, every new SaaS sub-account is created in a Restricted state. Sub-account admins and users cannot log in until you approve them.

Step 1: Turn on manual approval

Go to SaaS Configurator > Security and toggle "Put new sub-accounts on hold until reviewed and approved by an agency admin."

From this point forward, every new signup lands in Restricted state.

Step 2: Review pending requests

The same Security page lists pending activation requests. Each entry includes the prospect's contact details so you can verify them.

Step 3: Verify the prospect

The fastest way to confirm someone is real: call or video them. Real businesses pick up. Fraud rings will not.

Step 4: Approve or decline

  • Approve — the sub-account flips to active and admins/users can log in.
  • Decline — the sub-account stays Restricted and remains locked out. You can reactivate it later from the Manage Client page if you change your mind.

Why this matters

Phishing and spam blasted from a SaaS subdomain can damage sending reputation and trigger carrier-level filtering across your whole agency. A few minutes of upfront verification protects every legitimate sub-account underneath you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I enable manual sub-account approval?
In the SaaS Configurator, open Security and toggle on the option to hold new sub-accounts until an agency admin approves them.
Can a sub-account user bypass the hold?
No. The Restricted state locks all sub-account admins and users out. Only an agency admin can flip the account to active.
What happens if I decline a request?
The sub-account stays in Restricted state and the users remain locked out. You can still reactivate it later from the Manage Client page if needed.
Does this affect existing sub-accounts?
No. The toggle only applies to new sub-accounts created after you enable it. Existing sub-accounts keep their current status.
