How to Enable and Rebill Workflow AI in Sparkforge

By Sparkforge Support Team ·Last reviewed May 3, 2026

Enable Workflow External AI Models under Agency Settings → Company, then turn on rebilling per sub-account from the View Details panel. Sparkforge charges agencies what OpenAI charges (no markup); rebilling lets you pass token costs to clients with an optional multiplier for profit.

Workflow External AI Models give your workflows access to OpenAI models (GPT-4o and GPT-4o-mini) for AI-powered actions. Agencies pay token-by-token at OpenAI's rates with no Sparkforge markup, and 497-tier SaaS agencies can rebill clients at cost or with a margin.

Enable at the agency level

  1. Open Agency Level → Settings → Company → Workflow - External AI Models.
  2. Toggle the feature on.
  3. Check I confirm that I agree to the Workflow - External AI Models terms and click Enable.
  4. Existing and new sub-accounts get 100 free executions to start.

If you have the SaaS Configurator on, new sub-accounts auto-enroll in External AI Models — no per-account toggle needed.

Pricing

Sparkforge passes through OpenAI token pricing with no markup. As of writing:

ModelInput (per 1M tokens)Output (per 1M tokens)
GPT-4o$5.00$20.00
GPT-4o-mini$0.60$2.40

If rebilling is on, the price your sub-account pays includes your multiplier on top of these rates.

Turn on rebilling for a sub-account

  1. Confirm Workflow External AI Models is enabled at the agency level.
  2. If the sub-account isn't in SaaS Mode yet, switch it: Agency Account → Accounts, find the sub-account, click the three-dot menu, choose Switch to SaaS.
  3. Open View Details on the sub-account.
  4. Scroll to Workflow External AI Models Re-Sell Settings and toggle on.
  5. Set your markup with the slider, save, and repeat for any other sub-accounts.

How rebilling actually flows

  • Sparkforge invoices the agency at OpenAI cost.
  • Sub-accounts pay the agency through the agency's connected Stripe account, with the agency's branding on the invoice.
  • Token usage debits a credit balance on the location wallet, the same way Sparkforge Phone and Email rebilling works.

Existing sub-accounts and the 100-execution buffer

When you turn on the agency-level feature, existing sub-accounts inherit it with 100 free executions. After that, the agency wallet is charged unless you've enabled rebilling on each sub-account. To avoid paying for client usage, turn on rebilling before they burn through the free runs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Sparkforge mark up OpenAI tokens?
No. You pay what OpenAI charges Sparkforge, billed by input and output tokens. The only markup is what you choose to add via rebilling.
Which agency plans get Workflow AI?
All agency plans — $97, $970, $297, $2970, $497, $4970 — can access Workflow External AI Models. Rebilling is limited to the 497 SaaS tier.
What if I don't enable rebilling on existing sub-accounts?
After their 100 free executions, token costs hit your agency wallet. Enable rebilling per sub-account to push costs to the client instead.
How is rebilling collected?
The agency's connected Stripe account collects from sub-accounts using the agency's branding. Sparkforge invoices the agency separately.
Which models are available?
GPT-4o for higher-quality output and GPT-4o-mini for cheaper, faster runs. Pick the model on a per-action basis inside the workflow.
