Redirection Links in the Sparkforge Countdown Timer
A Sparkforge redirection link points to one URL while the countdown timer is active and a different URL after it expires. Attach it to a button, image, or CTA in any builder — inside Sparkforge or out.
Redirection links — sometimes called dynamic links — change the destination of a countdown timer based on whether the timer is still running or already expired.
How redirection links work
- Active timer: the link points to your live offer or event page.
- Expired timer: the link points to a different page, like an offer-expired or waitlist page.
When to use them
Countdown timers are not obviously clickable on their own. Wrap the redirection link around something users will tap — a button, an image, or a clear call to action like Claim the offer.
Redirection links also matter outside Sparkforge. If you embed a timer in a third-party builder, the redirection link still routes traffic correctly when the timer expires.
Where to copy the link
Countdown Timer settings
- Go to Marketing > Countdown Timer.
- Open your timer.
- Click Copy Link.
Email Builder
- Open the Email Builder settings.
- Click Copy Redirection Link.
Funnels, Websites, and Stores
Pages built inside Sparkforge already wire the timer element to its expired-page redirection. The timer behaves like a true minute timer — it does not restart on refresh and routes users to the expired URL once it hits zero.
Build a timer with redirection
- Go to Marketing > Countdown Timer.
- Set the Active Link for traffic before expiration.
- Set the Expired Link for traffic after expiration.
- Configure the timer expiry rules.
- Save the timer.
Traffic now routes to the right destination automatically.
